The pitching staff is deep and talented.

Bats aren’t going to wow you, but I feel like they are better than they’ve shown so far. Just haven’t strung it together. But there's no denying they've put up some average numbers against bad staffs.

It's a brutal schedule, especially in the first half.

What’s everyone's record prediction? I’m leaning 17-13. You’re in all three games each weekend due to arms. This team will be an extremely tough out in the tournament due to that pitching depth.

That you're fricking retarded.
LSU Baseball is fine. Other SEC teams are overrated. We're not.

We knew this would be a pitching focused team, but I really hoped to see more life out of the offense. Feels like a 17-13 SEC season.

I’m just really worried the pitching peaked too early. What if they can’t maintain the early season success all season long?

Before the year with a decent non conference before SEC play and a sweep in Houston at 16-2, I take that always. We're good. That pitching will keep us in games.

20-10. Starts off a little rough but then the pitching really sorts itself out and LSU make a good run to end SEC play.

I predict that LSU will drop a series or two during this brutal stretch and the rant will absolutely lose their minds. Then we will dominate the back half of the schedule and host a super regional.

All i know is how i feel now will probably change several times between now and the end of season once we hit a slump. Like every year.

So you think the pitching staff has already peaked? I don’t even know what to say

I was hedging 17/18 wins. I’d take it and like our odds for a Super.

I feel like this team will go 16-13* due to the struggling bats but a higher win total wouldn’t surprise me due to the pitching depth. The SEC is a gauntlet this year. A team that finishes 7th or 8th could realistically win it all.

I knew our pitching would be strong. I also knew our offense would be a different type of offense than last year and likely would take a step back this year. I am a little underwhelmed with the offense and hope Jay can get this club to score a few more runs. We will be in most games because of pitching but unless we improve on offense we will lose our share of SEC games. I still think we will be in a super battling to make it to Omaha.

17-13

Team plays their best baseball in the postseason and makes it back to Omaha.

20-10 that’s a national seed. After that it’s up to the Baseball Gods.

State lost to south Alabama last night nd UNO just took them to 11 innings with state winning 2-1.States Friday starter took himself out of the game last Friday with arm soreness. Not sure he pitches this weekend.

22-8

We start 10-5 then run off 11-1 streak then close out losing 2/3 after we have clinched the sec.

18-12 SEC record.

Host a regional. Travel for a Super.

Pitching has been dominant so far. We are in the top 10 in the county in ERA,WHIP and strikeouts per 9 innings but so are Aggie, USCe,TN and Arky. Going to be tough sledding but these guys can do it. Jay is the best coach in college.
