Ironic you would insult someone else’s intelligence when it’s obvious you don’t have a grasp of how this all works. It is possible to play 3 permanent teams without true 4-team pods existing. Go look at the list from earlier in the thread and educate yourself on how it works.
Better for everyone to think you’re a moron than for you to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

The South Eastern Division?
The SED?

This will allow SEC to favor their teams by creating soft schedules for Bama & GA. They have already proven SEC officiating is bias

If it is 3 permanent opponents and 6 other games. Essentially that is the equivalent to a pod schedule they are just lumping all together for Championship game
seeding.
Not a POD, in PODS, each 4 Team POD plays all the teams in their respective POD.
Each teams has their own 3 permanent opponents and rotate 6 each year.

We aren’t having Bama.
They have two rivalries in Tennessee and Auburn.
Why do I have to repeat this?

That would leave room for one more permanent opponent, correct?

I agree, but keep repeating it, because it is obvious some people here have hard heads.

Why call it a division? It is already a conference. I assume the championship game would be decided in a manner similar to the Big XII?

Careful, that Elizabeth chick is going to have to come explain it to you again.

The reason for this - with a 12 team playoff we will probably see a minimum of 2 SEC teams EVERY time and probably 3 and even 4 depending on how the rules are set up. Outside of hanging a banner, it’s probably not gonna matter if you are “tied for 2nd” or whatever. You will either make the playoff or you won’t. Just my opinion though.

(I'm betting LSU gets Texas 4&8, R-Kansas, and Go to Hell Ole Miss as our permanent rivals.)
There’s no way LSU is getting off that easy on permanent opponents. A&M is right on the borderline of the top half and the other two are bottom half historically. More than likely, each top 8 team is getting two other top 8 teams. The only question is whether Tennessee or A&M is considered #8 after Bama, LSU, Georgia, Florida, Auburn, Texas and Oklahoma. More than likely they put A&M there to balance LSU and Texas. LSU is still going to get one of the others as well, probably Bama or Florida.

THe conference will ultimately want to do away with a championship game and do what the big 12 used to do. Just name a champion based on regular season performance.
It's not a terrible idea to take an extra brutal game off your champion prior to play off run. We're essentially giving ourselves a first round Bye.
The conf champ will go, and it's likey 1 or 2 others will be part of the "highest ranked group of 5" teams.

It would probably be Missouri-Kentucky and Oklahoma-Florida to balance schedule strength. It’s possible it would be Oklahoma-Alabama and LSU-Florida instead of LSU-Alabama.

That might be true, but there is no way Alabama is playing Auburn, TENN and LSU.

Probably 9 game schedule with 3 permanents. Each team could have their own custom setup
An 8 game schedule works best for balancing home games within the conference and allowing more out of conference games. That also helps with more home game $$$ and a padded schedule. Each team gets one permanent opponent with the other 14 rotating home and away every 2 years. This also allows a visit to and from each conference foe every 4 years.
2 have a conference championship game, or just name champ/co-champs based on record and tie breakers. We may not need a championship game after playoff expansion.
In most years a 12 team playoff will get 3-4 SEC teams.
