For the last three seasons LSUWBB has been top 8 in the country. I think LSU has a strong shot to finish that high yet again in 2026. LSUMBB has never achieved that.

The bottom line in comparing MBB and WBB at LSU is this: LSUWBB is a top 8 program in the country and LSUMBB is not even top 8 in the SEC much less the nation.

Maybe so…..but I vividly remember taking my daughter the LSU Women’s National Championship but for some reason have no recollection of taking my son to any of the Men’s.

you really don’t understand tournament ball - baseball and basketball.
WBB Cancelled 1 season for COVID
First round 3
Second round 4
Sweet 16 - 2
Elite 8 - 2
Final 4 - 3
National Champions - 1
15 of 19 seasons…

As a point of reference the baseball team did not win either the conference or conference tournament since 2017… yet here we are with 2 titles.

Real coaches coach for post season play dumbass.

Conference championship or Tournament Champions DO NOT MATTER.

Although not updated in a long time, there are banners hanging in the PMAC for times women’s basketball were the SEC champions and tournament champions.

And what about all those other banners that are listed? Those banners are far more important than an SEC title in tournament plate. Wouldn’t you agree about that with baseball for example or basketball for example? I was a season ticket holder from the late 70s through the early 90s. Stop your dumb arse shite with the trolling shite. It’s just stupid. Don’t tell a fricking baseball fan if they will trade the SEC title for the two national championship the last four years. that’s what got Paul Minari fired. He cared about the SEC tournament in the conference championship more than he did about winning the whole motherfricker.

They lucked up winning a national title that 2nd year under Mulkey. South Carolina was the better team that year ranked No.1 all season and beat them bad in the regular season. And it would have been a repeat if South Carolina had got past Caitlin Clark and Iowa to face LSU in the title game. But Clark and Iowa's big ladies roughed up and handled South Carolina's bigs doing LSU a favor. But Iowa spent themselves in that big upset game against South Carolina and were drained when they faced LSU in the title game. Plus, LSU shot the lights out in that game against Iowa! Lol

How many conference championships equals a national championship?

Look at it from a football perspective, would you rather Lane win 2 SEC and 1 Natty in a decade or 7 SEC in a decade?

What are you, twelve years old?

The best team at the time of the tournament, won the championship that year. That team was LSU. Just be happy for a change.

Are you dense or something?

LSU women's basketball has won the SEC championship three times.....
2004-05, 2005-06, 2007-08

They've been to the final four six times..............'04, '05, '06, '07, '08. '23

They've won one NCAA championship in 2023.

What exactly is this thread even about?

A simple post stating the number of SEC championships won by the men’s and women’s basketball teams in the past 17 years. A fact that can’t be argued nor debated, yet many on here have become very upset about it.
