Yep, a great enough University that our ex president is your current president! Nuff said?

Your ex-President is why we were 0-12 & the football program in shambles. You can have him back! We had zero losing seasons in over a quarter century before make-up Mark came back to campus.

I'll give you the 133dB, but is it constant? I actually DO alot of sound design work, especially on the LSU campus, and can tell you that hands down, Tiger Stadium stays louder longer than any other stadium in the country. We too have over hangs that project sound toward the field. The upper decks dont just line up with the freakin bowl you know.

I have stated before and will one more time, if you have a track around the football field at the university, you are not a football college. Does not even compare

And they are megaphones to the open sky while the over hanging roof of Husky Stadium reflects the noise right back onto the field. Also, do those larger stadiums have as many seats between the goal lines as we do?

Meh, we caused an earthquake before, and two years ago had the db level of a 747, but yall sure got us beat[/sarcasm]

And I thought my 4 year playing soccer was funniest thing I saw today. Reading that their stadium is louder than Death Valley takes the cake.

The fact that bleachers have to be brought into the stadium and set up on the track is just an embarassment to college football all together. Get a stadium that is just for one sport. Then you might be able to talk about how loud it is. Sure yall probably actually reached 133 dcbs in a track meet, not a football game!

Yes, really. Most people that never been into Husky Stadium down play the noise. 70% of the seats are between the goal lines, right below the overhanging roofs. Your bowl shape design isn't as loud no matter how many fans you pack into the sucker. If your coaches are just as cocky about the noise, you will lose. Down playing the noise at Husky Stadium cost Miami a National Championship in 2000.

Regardless of how much noise you bring, your still putting that sorry excuse of a team on the field that has dropped 14 straight and and you play in the very weak and watered down PAC 10. Speed alone is going to whip Washington. Once we get the corner its over. Shoulda scheduled Air Force or Akron, might have had a better shot of getting off the terd that way.

Congratulations. You have a tin roof over your stadium.

There is a also another good reason Michigan's crowd isn't as loud even though it's one of the biggest, besides the fact that their team sucks now.

More than half their stadium is built into the ground so the noise goes up and out of the stadium.

At LSU, it's like screaming into a stone wall. It's louder than M's stadium by alot.

Word. I'd never seen this till last night, but we noticed this watching the Boise State/Oregon game. It was bad enough that the field was blue, but those bleachers on the track? Hilarious. How embarrassing that you have to bring in erector set bleachers to close in your end zone!

I have no doubt that the washington fan base care, (even though there were still alot of tickets left for the game as of yesterday) and that they will try to make lots of noise. But to say that Husky stadium is any louder than Tiger Stadium, Bryant Denny, the Swamp, Neyland stadium, or Stanford stadium, is asinine. Plain and simple Husky stadium is probably no louder than South Carolina's regardless how many people sit bewteen the 20's. The only way 72500 would ever be as loud as 92500, or 110,000 is if it were in a dome stadium.
