Good Stuff Here
Here's a gem:

I do think they have a chance. Locker is a great talent and I believe Sarkisian is going to have the team fired up and ready to play, something we haven't seen up here in a long time. Husky stadium is a LOUD stadium and I think the crowd might be able to rattle LSU a little.

REALLY????

do they not realize that we visit stadiums that push 90-100,000 people nearly every week?

do you really think the huskies have a real chance? i agree they will be better and win a few games but lsu is better in key posistions this year along with much better defensive coaching will make this team nuch better than the 2008 team was anything is possible but the only way lsu loses this game is if they have 5 or more turnovers the talent and depth level between these teams is quite large

So I guess Charleston Southern has a chance against UF or else they wouldn't play?

Yes, really. Most people that never been into Husky Stadium down play the noise. 70% of the seats are between the goal lines, right below the overhanging roofs. Your bowl shape design isn't as loud no matter how many fans you pack into the sucker. If your coaches are just as cocky about the noise, you will lose. Down playing the noise at Husky Stadium cost Miami a National Championship in 2000.

OK...too bad most of the noise will be coming from the Golden Band from Tigerland and the LSU contingent...seriously.

And they are megaphones to the open sky while the over hanging roof of Husky Stadium reflects the noise right back onto the field. Also, do those larger stadiums have as many seats between the goal lines as we do?

If size = volume, why is Michigan Stadium so quiet? Stadium design plays a factor, which is why Qwest Field is significantly louder than the significantly larger FedEx Field in the NFL. Qwest Field was modeled after Husky Stadium.

Because Clausen never gives them a reason to cheer.

I can't get to youtube at work...would someone please post LSU's response to USC's loss to Stanford for Snoop Dawg?

Snoop, our stadium is not constructed like the Big House. Trust me...the sound stays on the field; come to BR in 2012 and find out for yourself.

The overhanging roof certainly contains a lot of noise.

but I'm curious as to what being between the goal lines has to do with anything... are you saying that fans - no matter their distance from the field - are louder between goal lines?

so if you field a group of fans to stand on the grass in the back of the endzone, their voices don't carry? I think i'm confused.

The shape of the stadium and the amount of people in it are only a portion of the noise factor. The biggest factor is who is in the stands and how passionate they are. I dare say that UDub fans only have a fraction of the passion that LSU fans do. You may be surprised at how loud 10 thousand rabid LSU fans will be compared to 60 thousand luke warm Huskey fans.
