It’s human nature to want to be right. He goes 6-2 in sec this year and y’all all want to excuse it bc the sec is weak. If you don’t think people want to be right I don’t know what to tell you. People have a hard time hiding their bias.

If Miles was the coach of this years team and the results were exactly the same ,Most on here would be saying that Miles did a great job with such A young team and the SEC was A dominant conference....

I had season tickets during the Hallman regime before I moved away from Louisiana. That's just for perspective in case anyone thinks I'm just a fair-weather fan.

We did give Orgeron and Ensminger a chance - during the interim year. We looked at the performance on balance and determined that O + E did a creditable job keeping the team together after the Miles firing. However, several things during the season demonstrated that the O + E combination, even with Aranda as DC, could not credibly be called "elite" and that one could not reasonably expect LSU to make the playoffs with O as HC and Ensminger as DC.

Several things were said by Alleva, but most understood that LSU was firing Miles not because of any malfeasance, concern for losing records, etc., but that Miles lost his edge and had settled in to winning 8 or 9 wins and going to minor bowls.

No one claiming impartiality can claim that O + E puts us in a better position to achieve our stated goals and actions by Alleva and O have since demonstrated that they will not keep their word.

So, where do we draw the line? In your opinion, is "giving them a chance" the same as waiting for them to have two losing seasons in a row? That's what we did for Archer and then again for Hallman.

How about being proactive, for the good of the program, and firing O and Alleva, elevating Aranda to HC and hiring an elite OC (like we were promised)?

The period of 2000 to about 2015 was a period of unparalleled excellence for LSU and it didn't "just happen." It can't last letting untrustworthy and, frankly, incompetent people run the athletic department and the team.

I guarantee, whatever happens to Alleva and O, no one, unless he is financially or emotionally connected to O, will ever say, "man, I wish we would have just given those guys more time."

people were wanting to fire miles in a season where we won the sec , had our 1st undefeated sec season in over half a century, and played for a national title.

it’s fake news to declare that O went back on his word because he didn’t

His promise in hiring an OC was based on his already securing the services of Lane Kiffin. He trusts Kiffin and Kiffin wanted to get the hell away from Saban. But Saban, being all powerful, got Kiffin a HC job and screwed up our OC situation. After that Ed had no other big name OC in his pocket that he knew and trusted and had to go with Canada. Canada is brash, arrogant and has had trouble getting along with people everywhere he has been. When that relationship went south (even Aranda wanted Canada gone)Ed wanted to go back to someone he could trust instead of someone he really didn't know. he tried the big name and got burned. he really believes that Steve can produce a high scoring, balanced, multi-set offense.
Only time will tell.

LSU fired a coach who promised to the AD & BOS to change the offense and had the whole off season to do so and then went back to the same ole boring "3 yards & a cloud" crap.
Plus his program was trending downward in the most recent 5 years.
He was not fired with the intention of hiring Ed Orgeron. Why cant you dumbasses get that through your head?

Everyone is allowed to have their opinion, but with that said. Right now, people can only anticipate what will happen. I am going to wait and see how things play out before getting all up in an uproar.

I don't want to be that jackass that is all "this sucks, everything is going to shite, we are screwed" and in mid November we are ranked in the top 5 and because I can't admit when I wrong, I will be hoping something goes wrong so I can tell everyone "I told you so", but if things do go well I will still talk about how much I hate the coaches and will not ever be happy all because I convinced myself I am right.
