I like Ensminger. I'm stuck with O. I think with our 2 QBs Ensminger will be able to figure out how to pass the ball down field with some efficiency which will open the run up.

Anyway I remain positive until they prove otherwise on the field and not in the media.

Think about this:
If CEO and Ensminger both got fired today, they would BOTH remain unemployed. Simply put, they’re not desirable because their abilities are average in their current positions.

Neither has done anything to impress me.

I get it....we all are LSU fans and want the best for them but u dont hire proven failures and has failed at their jobs and not expect people to be outraged. This isnt Duke! We have high expectations from our football program and our coaches! Getting a low level coach and a washed up OC and then say give them a chance isnt going inspire the fan base are fly with us. Its just amazing how low some fans have set the bar these days. But who am i but a guy who just wants LSU to be a national power and relevant again?

This is so transparently dumb, it’s kind of breathtaking.

Feel free to panic 24/7, but even though I did not believe Ensminger would be the hire, he did a pretty good job while O was interim. That was actually the best offense LSU has had since Rohan, Reed, Davis, and Toefield.

We got the hottest name in young OC’s last year, changed the offense in a pretty dramatic way, and it didn’t work on nor off the field. If you objectively look at the production from ‘16, even if Ensminger isn’t a flashy hire, he is a results-based hire, which is very business-like. In fact, it’s pretty bold on O’s part—he made an unpopular hire because he thought it would give the team the best chance of winning.

In the end, though, it’s fake news to declare that O went back on his word because he didn’t. He said he’d hire the top OC in his introductory presser and then did exactly that. Canada had poorer production than Ensminger did, so he was elevated back to OC because he very obviously worked out.
