No, that meant O had leverage. It was still Woodwards job to make sure we didnt do stupid stuff. That is what he is here to do. Of course he also hamstrung Aggie with Fisher because they really wanted Fisher too.

AD’s should not be micromanaging the assistants the head coach hires.

And he grossly overpaid Jimbo at A&M

We've been over this a number of times. He overpaid because he was given booster money and told in no uncertain terms to overpay.

We overpaid Pelini.

Not willing to close this door yet. Probably overpaid and probably pushed to do so be a natty-winning coach. If Pelini doesn't work, I blame O more than SW. As SW gets more power, this won't happen again.

Eh that’s debatable. 7.5M/year for a NC winning coach isn’t absurd. aTM is loaded anyway. They went after their guy and got him. 10 years is pretty crazy though.

We control the purse strings. And what other options did Pelini have?

We actually had the leverage, didn't use it, and gave Bo a massive contract when no one else was in the bidding.

So Bo was making over 2 MM from my understanding with Ne paying part until we signed him.
How do you guys know he didn’t have another DC offer. As far as we know he was just hanging out by his home until he got back into big boy football.

Coach O dictated that contract, not woordward. O will be hung and held accountable by Scott. Maybe that was his strategy?

If he cans Wade, he'll have my vote of confidence (which may not be worth much LOL).

Nah, no matter if they turn it around or not we overpaid Pelini. Is he really turning LSU down if he's offered 1.75 instead of 2.3? Who were we bidding against for the number to get that high?
