SVP is nothing but an entertainer. Of course he like Les and his goofy antics. SVP isn't a LSU fan and doesn't know what it's like or even care about being Bama's bitch for 5 straight games.

I agree we're wasting talent, there are no to little adjustments, and I don't like that.
And thats really what it amounts to for me. Name one QB we've developed that Jimbo did not have a hand in? We had a team with Mett, Hill, OBJ, and Landry and won... nothing. Were 1-3 in our last 4 bowl games.
Why would any legitimate QB prospect want to come to school here? We recruited a guy like Brandon Harris two be a dual threat and we hardly ever let him run the ball. We've developed 0 qbs in house post Jimbo, and QB play has consistently been the thorn in our side.
I'm exhausted.

because the next coach is going to inherit what miles is wrecking if we keep letting him have year after year.
the 110 and 32 shite needs to stop, no one wants him fired for lack of overall wins, its for the seasons post 2011. we are going to be here for a while if we are waiting on his record to approach 500

I have to disagree with SVP. The right coach could really wake this program up! Every year we can get the best players in the country, with the right coach LSU could be dominant.

Les wouldn't go 110-32 if you start counting from this week forward.
I would venture a guess to say you are completely wrong. Les would lose on average 3 games per and win 8-10. That would be on par with his current record. Make math your friend.

Svp:
"Les. Do a commercial with me and I will defend you till beyond the end. "

Oh but Les is so goofy and lovable and eats grass! He is so great.

Add SVP to the list of national, objective sports media that think LSU is nuts for all of this
Yeah they don't care that we can't win the SEC west anymore.
They need something to fill air time or column space, so they say the easy, safe thing.
They can say I told you so if it goes badly and if it goes well no one will care what they said.

Yeah, top recruiting classes are totally going to wreck this program...

He has some points and really seemed to want to make that piece a "state of the game" piece relative to fans expectations of what constitutes good, e.g., Les vs Fuente.
At the end of the day, I just think their are a large number of LSU fans that have "Les Fatigue" and want something new. This is about winning the SEC West, before we can do anything else and Les is no longer capable of doing that. If we can't win the SEC West, we don't go to Atlanta. If we can get to Atlanta, we most likely (2011 Bama exception) won't be in the playoff, etc.
This is about the "next guy." He may not get us to the promised land, but the consensus is that the current guy no longer gives us a chance.

Not saying they do. Just stating the fact that the country has decided we are spoiled morons and, whether it's right/wrong, if next guy fails, we will be roasted w "everyone told you so" for a very long time.

LSU has done what it has done in spite of Miles not because of him. I say keep him on staff as the highest paid recruiter in the country and hire a new head coach. Cost will be the same as firing Miles.

At the end of the season, you would expect the following;
Your team would be (at least) competing for the SEC West title
Your offense would look like a well oiled machine
Your team would not commit a dozen penalties a game
Your team would, at least, be well schooled on special teams
Your Q'back would be able to make at least ONE checkoff at the LOS
Your D'backs would all be on the same page, every play
Your Q'back could complete a 7 yard pass
Your kicker could reach the opponents end zone on kick offs
Your offense could run plays in less than 25 seconds or W/O calling timeouts
ets., etc., etc., etc., etc.

Who cares about 110-32? We want championships and Les can't win them anymore. End of discussion.

Miles inherited a program set up for success. He will be leaving what adds up to a rebuilding project in comparison.
bullshite. Anyone would take the team we have coming back next year over the 3 loss team we had after 2004. A team that lost by 30 to Georgia that year and lost to Iowa in the bowl game. Don't act like Miles inherited a National Title team.

We live in a results-oriented society. The stuff he's spouting is focused on the results, not the process of getting there. Anyone that has followed the program closely throughout his tenure will be aware of some of the issues that have plagued the team and have prevented it from fully realizing its potential. Also, looking foward, we have to come to terms with the fact that Miles will likely never win another SEC championship. He has about 5-7 years before he retires, and there is a clear downward trajectory that we are on.
If people have issues with the way Miles is being treated, that's fine. I would contend that he's treated this like a business. He played us for Arkansas a few years back. I don't resent him for that, but LSU is clearly well within its rights to look at this as a business decision.
Regardless, in order to understand the situation, one can acknowledge the success he's had, but also realize why he's had it and make conclusions about the likelihood he has success in the remainder of his contract term at LSU. He's getting paid like an elite coach, and he's in an extremely fortunate position in terms of resources. These two aspects should provide the context in which he's evaluated.
That being said, I do agree that college football as it is now is a perverse system, and the money is getting to be out of control. But that's the deck LSU has to play with.

People should be less frustrated with the Offense, which actually made some pretty good strides this year, despite having a first time starting QB a few new faces on the offensive line, a walk-on fullback, and a bunch of WRs who couldn't hold on to the ball last year(although they are talented)
Defense (and special teams) should be much more concerning. There were times against Arky and Ole Miss where our Offense got us back in the game and then the defense gives up a long drive for the opponent to stretch the lead back to 2 scores.
