Scoring 8 runs should win 85% of the time.

We lost our last 6 games in a row when scoring 8. We just don't have the arms. If we'd won 5, we would be 14-14 and stil in contention.

Hoping for better next year.

Giving up the last three runs without a hit was ridiculous.

7th and 8th innings:

3 Runs
No hits
One error
7 Walks
3 wild pitches

This sounds like a quote directly from Blake Ruffino’s post game show

The fact that this lineup, missing 2-3 starters for injury, and playing 4 freshmen is about the 6th best offense in the sec, shows the jay is doing a pretty good coaching job with his baby, the offense. Just need to fix the otherside of the ball next year along with the defense and we’ll be good.

These pitchers just aren't SEC quality. CJJ will fix the issue. I believe in him.

Do I have any eligibility left? I can't imagine I could pitch that much worse.

bullshite excuse. We didn't develop the players we had. Pitching has lost most of these games. Are you blaming the transfer portal for Cooper Williams' ERA of 8.10? Because last year he had the talent to throw 1.80 against better competition. Guidry's ERA went from 2.59 in 2024 to 6.81 right now. Cowan's ERA is two full runs higher than it was last year. Evans' ERA has almost tripled.

Please explain to me how it's the transfers' fault that our pitchers got worse across the board, with the exception of Schmidt and Fontenot??? We are scoring enough runs not to be 9-19 in the SEC.

The part no one seems to grasp is this: if we haven't coached the returning players to their potential, how do we know we've coached the portal guys to play to theirs?

Jay is a great coach, and he will figure this out. But blaming the transfers is not taking accountability for this year's coaching disaster.

What’s frustrating is that almost all of our arms have fewer hits than innings pitched and much more strikeouts than innings pitched. These are SEC quality arms when they are in the zone. The walks are just out of control and a pitching coach making the money Yeskie is making should be able to get the number of walks per game trending in the right direction

I'd devote 100% of the portal to pitching

I would love to know just how many innings this year have been like this. Seems like a ton.

That is the stats of a team that has no business making a regional. I’m sorry I love LSU baseball as much as anybody but this team absolutely does not deserve to be selected for a regional. They are pathetic.

Our pitchers mental toughness has been severely lacking this season.

Part is due to us losing two starters putting pitchers into bigger roles than they’re ready for, but two of the three guys are veterans.

we have a ton of young pitchers.

Evans, sophomore
Schmidt, sophomore
Rizy, sophomore
Cooper Williams, sophomore
Lachenmayer, sophomore
Plog, sophomore
Ricken, freshman
Sheerin, sophomore
Theophilus, freshman
Paz, freshman

I feel pretty good about that core. None of those guys have been worse than the upper classmen
