Reed is a role player, borderline starter. Good size, no athleticism at all, weak for a big, decent ball handler for his size, below average passer, inconsistent shooter, not a defender or rebounder, gets to the FT pretty well. Mcmen paint him as an All American (The Jackson Joker) but really he’s a fringe starter for bad teams, an end of rotation player for good teams. Insignificant to the outcome of the seasons. DJ is a defective player we knew before signing him the probability of him making it through the season was nearly 0% but we dumped a ton of money on him as a PR stunt. He’s a good player, it’s not a knock on his skill but everyone outside of LSU fans knew he had a chronic injury which is why we got him and none of the better teams did. The mcmen can argue their pie in the sky BS all they want, it’s what they do but nothing could’ve saved McMahon because he isn’t a good enough coach to win in the SEC period.

I thought McCantWin had a nice family, I call BS - it’s a family of crime and McCantWin is the head of the Den of Thieves. He has now stolen over 12 mill$ and 23 young men’s career and dreams. And did it right before our eyes. Amazing!

And the other argument is that if Jalen Reed and Thomas stayed healthy we would be in the middle of the SEC right now and be in the tournament.

Every year its some bullshite excuse.

Honestly go ahead

It just shows where Men’s BB sits in their priority order. Once football ends I’ll be in on women’s basketball until baseball opening day. Just like the last 2 years

Need to hang a #9 banner in the rafters that says "Jalen Reed when injured".

Was it a stunt?

I am curious of what you said prior and I don't want you to public anything.

The McWhatevers really aren't MBB fans - not usually wholly LSU fans.

The nonsense projection that MBB fans wanted us to be 16-51 in the SEC the last 4 years is nonsense. CBK may want to go 0-30 and lose by 30 every game, but I don't think he started there.

McMahon’s greatest talent is turning mediocre players when healthy into NBA Hall of Famers when they’re not playing. Coach Mac will be remembered for doing things that have never been done before at LSU.

I characterize it that way because of the history of our AD. I guess you could say it was a gamble or Hail Mary but IMO the possible upside isn’t high enough to describe it that way.

If so, they need to cut the NIL deal to zero. Why pay any money to come in second to last instead of last?

The frustrating thing is Men's Basketball would make a profit w a good team.

If Verge is even considering this he’s an idiot.

McMahon has to go. He has sucked every last ounce of energy from the program.

If we are that cash strapped on Basketball, shitcan his arse and take a gamble on someone cheap that actually has a pulse.

Alabama
at Ole Miss
Oklahoma
at Auburn
Texas A&M

That’s what remains for us. Alabama & A&M are definite losses. Ole Miss & Auburn aren’t having their best seasons, but both games are on the road, so likely Ls. OU sucks, but so do we. Losing out is a very real possibility.

No way , can they retain CMM in that scenario. None.

This BS story is being floated as a negotiation tool.

He’s a media person, I wouldn’t be surprised if this isn’t his conclusion based on bits and pieces of conversations he’s had and heard.
