So with BJ going pro and Saivion having to step up do you think he will have similar ability? Everything I’ve seen jumps off the screen. The guy seems like an all conference end and he plays hard.

Just wanted the overall feeling of him taking BJ’s spot. I think it may be equal and since his size is bigger maybe he could exceed BJ’s production.

Just think about how nasty that line will be next year with Maason coming back, Wingo back (quietly having one of the best rated interior DL within the league this year), Saivion, Quincy, Desmond Little, etc. not sure if we’re going after anyone in the portal.

It’s just crazy to think that next year could be better than this year and these last few games have looked like an elite defense.

I questioned the Kelly hire bc his personality at ND was rough and he had a bad reputation. He’s completely changed his demeanor and he seems like he absolutely loves it here. I’m really concerned about House leaving but they need to do all they can to keep him here for several years bc he is one of the best defensive coaches at LSU since the 2000s. I think he’s equal to Aranda.

What a time to be a tiger fan!

He seems to make a lot of plays for the amount of playing time he gets. I believe he goes off next year.

He’s looked good when he’s gotten the opportunity. Whether or not he can reach BJ’s level is going to depend on how much he commits himself to the program.

Jones seems stronger than BJ but not as fluid. BJ is definitely a better rusher but can run himself out of the play. I think they are different types of players. Jones might be more Ali Gaye in setting the edge, hopefully he continues to be more physics than AG

Can Mingo go pro? He might as well. Hes already transferred and if he comes back he will sit behind Smith. Strike while the irons hot

The plays I've seen him make have been impressive. He can only improve.

Jones is going to play the 4i where Gaye is playing. Completely different skill set and tech than a stand up linebacker. I think he plays it almost if not better than Gaye. It’s more a natural fit for him.

They're different players but savion looks like a stud. Masson coming back is going to help them a lot too

Agreed.
Savion will have the better career in the end.

He can’t go pro and he’s not sitting behind anyone.

Savion will absolutely not have a better career than BJ Ojulari. Glad he’s on our team, but BJ is a lot more elite than our fans give him credit for. He’s going to be a great pro.

Agree 100%. Guy reminds me of D. Hunter, but better at this point in his career. He'll make plays against the run and pass at the next level. A three-down type defender.

I was going to say the same think but regarding K’Lavon Chaisson. He reminds me very much of Chaisson, but with better a pass rush.

It's Wingo and he has been awesome for LSU. He will not be sitting unless there is a major failure by the coaches. If Smith comes back healthy, they need to figure out a way to have them both on the field at the same time. Wingo has proven he is a stud in back-to-back seasons on different teams in the SEC. Huge portal pickup for LSU.

Hard to know how well he will do playing the run, but clearly has some pass rush ability.

I’ll be the only person who says yes ….I knew that BJ Ojulari was going to be better than Andre Anthony….and I think Savion will be better than BJ

I’m gonna assume that he’s one of those who thinks Jacquelin Roy is coming back for one more year ( I don’t think he will)

I think he’ll get a look at the Jack linebacker spot ….he’s definitely fast enough and athletic enough to do it
