Fine, but watch how much this is going to bite LSU in the arse. You think we were not in good favor with the Conference before, just wait. You can forget any favors coming LSU's way this point forward. (not that we had any before). LSU is now the bad guy of the conference in the eyes of the SEC admins. Let's just say replay review decisions will be interesting to say the least.
So we should have bent over and lost a home game while getting nothing in return.

Sankey is an inept fool. He can take as many shots as he wants, but he's the stupid bitch that made the bed and now he can lie in it.

Fine, let's just hang 50 or 60 on the Gaytors and then tell Sankey we are leaving the damn conference

You are arguing against your own point

No. That's not what I'm saying. However, LSU is being painted by the media, and now the conference, on being the bad guy in all of this. That's the narrative, like it or not. Hell, no one is even listening or giving credence to LSU's position and what they did to make this game happen. All I'm saying is I would not be surprised if there are not any repercussions from this. We didn't get any favors before...you can bet we won't be getting any favors now. Sankey has an ax to grind with LSU. You trust him? I know I don't.

Next time I see him at Publix I'm going to body check him into the meat counter.

So we now know the reason your name is little Mike.

Pretty much!

“I’ve been concerned since Monday when lines were drawn in the sand,” Sankey told reporters. “We are a conference that has done really, really well in handling things inside … It is difficult to come to conclusions when we are publicly stating lines in the sand. We can’t do that.
---------
Hey, Commissioner Sankey, I know you've only had the job for two years but...given the fact that you're paid millions of dollars to do your job, and given the fact that hurricaines and inclement weather are increasingly responsible for scheduling issues, don't you think the time to be "concerned" was really Monday Oct 3rd? It took you and your staff until YESTERDAY to understand the bylaws and issue notice that both teams would be ineligible if they didn't play 8 conference games.
If you were competent in your job, Mr. Sankey...what you announced YESTERDAY could have been announced at least by Thursday Oct. 6th, when Foley began his "wait and see" shenanigans.
Would have saved everyone a lot of trouble, but sure, go ahead and subtly direct blame on our AD, Mr. Sankey...a few of us rantards are paying attention.

Well most of us knew all along this would happen very early on.. It was forgotten pretty quick that they are the ones that wouldn't budge. What choice did alleva have ?? Play on a bye week and put player safety at risk with 3 games in 12 days ? Give up a home game when this year we need the revenue more than ever ? I knew there was no way alleva would look good in this scenario. foley knew that and thought alleva would fold. I'm glad he didn't

And I give great credit to Jeremy Foley, great credit for when we reached an impasse, for stepping forward in I think the best interest of the conference, showing willingness to make an adjustment to this year’s schedule and to flip next year’s game.”
Oh look. Once again somebody lies and acts poorly and is praised for it.

What a puss world we live in when one would get upset over someone not thanking them
We were pricks, we won, the world hates a prick winner. The love a loser doormat. Who you wanna be?

Sankey added that the SEC will use this to form more strict guidelines on how these matters will be handled going forward.
Well, we're screwed.

It's not about not getting a thank you. It's about the misleading story out there and Sankey's mishandling of the whole debacle. Basically, he's blaming it all on us now.
Whatever, though...it is what it is now. I think Alleva did the right thing. BOTH teams made concessions except our concessions aren't acknowledged. Poor Gators get two home games against us in a row. We get more road games next year and a loss to the economy, plus pay S AL to get out of that game, but we are villains. It's being presented in a lopsided manner and the frustration is that the media is buying into bullshite. I don't really care what they think of us or what Skanky thinks of us. What bothers me is Skanky and Foley acting holier than thou when they caused all of this in the first place and getting away with it.

I didn't click his link because OP didn't paste the relevant snippet, and instead posted information we already had.
Still don't think what Sankey said was so egregious we needed yet another thread started

I posted the comments from this morning in a post a few posts or so down, but don't bother reading it since you already have your opinion.

He's just trying to get back in UF fans graces.
Everyone is going to end up hating him in time. This game is a tiny big picture item and he failed it horribly.

Yeah funny how we could have did this on schedule and that it gets ZERO mention that the same exact situation is playing out anyway. So frick u FL and Sankey and Foley. frick u SEC! How would you like it if LSU just left the damn SEC. I mean if all the SEC wants to do is tear down our university because of their own interests and click then frick them. Why not go independent like Notre Dame? LSU will not and should not take this shite. frick them

Yep I agree this will affect LSU going forward with the SEC office, how much of an affect I don't know but it will definitely have an affect. Sankey has a black eye from this and from the omission he made of not thanking LSU in his comments but thanking everyone else involved, he is putting the blame squarely on Alleva and LSU. No doubt he won't forget this and if he ever gets the chance to put the screws to LSU you can bet he will.
