I hope so, but when you throw a ball four feet to the side of a wide open receiver who is standing still, you have BIG problems.

JD used VR to practice .. does LSU have this or did he do this elsewhere in the off season?
Just wondering if SL has access to this at this point.

If we would have folded and gotten rolled I would agree he’s not the guy but he kept competing and they kept fighting and won the second half. Just got in too big of a hole first half. He hasn’t played competitive ball in a year and missed spring so he’s still a little behind but if he can continue to improve on the passing side then the sky is the limit, Question is how long will Kiffen give him.

And reference back to this when Leavitt is playing really well in an LSU run towards 10-2 and a playoff birth.
Hopefully. But as of now, all the criticism is justified. He has to play better.

Are you sure about that? Cause I'm not.

I disagree. If it were a timing issue, possibly. It's mechanics.
I agree it's a footwork issue. But Brian Kelly and Joe Sloan aren't in charge of this QB. Lane and Charlie will have him playing well by the back end of the schedule.

We ran for 172 yards last night vs a good front and a 5-8 man box
We got manhandled in Q1 and it looked like our Oline was over-matched. We had 11 yards rushing and 23 yards passing in Q1. They won the trenches on both sides of the ball for most of first half. They deserve credit for playing better later in the game. We need to show up at kick-off next week. The A&M game should be telling on our Oline.

Jackson Harris comes to mind.
Hard to judge Harris in this game. He was open. Leavitt missed him several times.

Well, I hope he certainly can’t get much worse. It’s not like he’s miss reading Ds. He’s missing widearse open receivers or just not seeing them at all because he’s tucking and running. Getting better? It won’t take much for him to get better.
Does he remind you of any other transfer QB's? Remember when Burrow sucked and everybody wanted to bench Jayden his first year and going into his second? He needs time and tape.

Low delivery and feet are not set. He has multiple batted balls each game.
Exactly, then he overcompensates and overthrows the receivers. He can't find the happy medium.

Agree about the openness but I dont think Harris has caught a contested ball yet this season. I could be wrong.

Mediocre is definitely being generous. He holds onto the ball entirely too long, misses open receivers when he does throw it, and looks like he forgets what the play is when the ball is snapped sometimes.
He will almost certainly get more accurate as the year progresses, but I don't even know that accuracy is the biggest concern.
