When I say this, by no means am I acting like this wasn't a boring fight. Putting a grappler in a "BMF" fight is asking for this to happen.

That being said, I'm seeing a lot more hate towards Oliveira than towards Holloway. Holloway couldn't defend the takedown, at all. Charles is in no way to blame for that. Holloway looked like absolute shite, and was even losing the striking exchanges when he had the chance. Rosas had the same gameplan a few fights before this one and was praised for it.

All that to say this- either A)put two actual strikers in the fight that you're promoting as the BMF, or B) get rid of it. And getting mad at Charles for keeping Max off the feet is a complete casual take. You should be mad Holloway couldn't defend the takedown. :violin:

Agreed. The rematch with Max at 155 if he beats Charles makes much more sense.
Paddy gained my respect that fight but he was little more than a punching bag for a lot of it. Ilia would give him an unwanted nap in the first round with how he hangs his chin in the air.

This is the logical fight, but with Sean finally getting back in the win column and being one of the main cash cows it's hard to believe they throw him against another heavy grappler like Umar.

But the fight absolutely makes sense.

I think the Hooker fight is for pure entertainment. Two far from technical guys that love a brawl. Both are far from title contention if they ever reach it, but I think this will be a slug fest nonetheless!

I agree with the Tai take, I bet he took this to retire at home. Win or lose.
