He played good against Auburn and Army b/c both teams can’t throw the football. I think he moved to cb b/c he is one of the few guys that grasp the zone scheme House is trying to play.
The young cb’s most likely played primarily man in HS and that is all the know. Kinda like why Mo Claiborne was a bust in the NFL. He had never played zone and the cowboys drafted him and asked him to cb in a cover 2 zone scheme.

It’s why Denver Harris was a bust and why we sucked against ole miss.
He couldn’t learn the scheme and we were trying to fit a square peg in a round hole.
When you have to change your scheme and assignments to account for a guy who can’t play within the planned scheme the entire system fails.

He was a 5 star athlete , in hindsight he may have been better on offense who knows

Sage has been playing well out there why in the world would you want to change that when all 4 of our transfer CBs are out for likely the remainder of the season?

In case you haven't watched the past few seasons he's more like a 1 star safety. I believe he is a much better corner than safety.

Sage is very average but has size and knowledge. He totally did not live up to his 5 star rating.
Teams go after the weak DB's all the time. Sage has been attacked everywhere he plays on the field

If you are better then the coaches, why aren’t you coaching? It’s obvious that Sage is better than the corners you mentioned. If he wasn’t, he wouldn’t be playing ahead of them. I’m sure Kelly knows more than you do
