Know this guy is young and didn't play against the best competition in high school, but... can any explain why he is starting, batting 2nd in the lineup, and not doing too well defensively in center field??? Just would like some opinions...

How many teams have a .115 hitter batting second in the lineup, unless he as expected to bunt and run EVERYTIME and hope for the best.

To start you need to weigh 150 lbs and not over 5 foot 6 to be in Pulmonary's lineup.

The only reason he’s at LSU is due to political reasons. He’s not an SEC player

I think he’s doing well in CF. He’s obviously faster than any other option. Most casual fans judge outfielders by how they do on balls that hit their glove, but the real differentiator is how many balls hit their glove. Safford’s speed is a difference maker with Gio out.
