Don has long been a faithful Tiger. That alone connects with me. But I have been inspired by how he has handled his wife's illness, as well as his own. May God comfort him and his family.

My family and I just spoke of he and his wife last night and were hoping she had a little longer. So sad to hear this.

He and his family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

I read him every morning and I feel for him. Everyone knows Dandy Don does this for his love of LSU and everyone should send him a little email showing him your appreciation. I can't imagine what he is going through and it must be tough but at least she isn't suffering anymore. My prayers and thoughts go out to him and his family

I join all the others in expressing my sadness at hearing this terrible news. Dandy, to me, is so typical of the LSU fan of old that is slowly disappearing as the decades roll on by.

Dandy, I tip my Tiger hat to you and yours.

My heart goes out to the dandy one today. I can't imagine what it would be like to lose the woman of my dreams, the mother of my kids. I trust they had a nice long life together and I hope he can cherish those memories.
