Really sad to hear. Im sure DD will recieve lots of support. I hope is able to find comfort. You could tell he cared for her lots, she was the only thing he would drop LSU for.

Even though I never met Don, I always had great respect and admiration for him. I sincerely wish him and his family the best and pray for them. His wife is truly in a better place and I pray that by him knowing that somehow, it eases his pain.

Sad .... My heart goes out to you and your family....... Don Long

I know how he feels. I remember when my Mom passed away, going back in her bedroom and knowing I would never see her again on this earth, was almost surreal. Like I was having a nightmare. I was 34 when my Mom passed, so DD had 19 years on me, but after knowing someone that long and losing them is the hardest thing in the world I have had to go thru by far.

Keeping DD and his family in my prayers.

May the souls of the faithful departed in the mercy of God rest in peace;

Let light perpetual shine upon them. This is also my prayer. Thank you Don for being a shining light that the younger generation should learn to follow. Well done Don. You have our love and respect.
