My family and I just spoke of he and his wife last night and were hoping she had a little longer. So sad to hear this.

He and his family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

I work at a mortgage company in servicing and give some leeway before we assess late fees. We send out reminders 5 days after the due date if they have not paid, and then late fees are assessed if miss their 30 day window. Not sure that is how it is for everyone, but I've heard its common.

Also, to support what everyone else said, a mortgage late will not be reported to a CRA if it is within 30 days of the due date. The first day after 30 days, they won't hesitate to report it.

One idea on a visa is a share/savings secured visa. I know at my credit union you pay a lower rate because the visa is secured by your savings account (they put a hold on the money so you can't use it) but they will give you a limit of up to what is in the account.

The secured card is a good idea if you have no credit at all.

As long as you continue to use your card and pay it down, it reflects positively on your report. I would recommend not paying a card off completely and just paying it down to a few dollars. It shows that you know how to manage your credit and keeps the account revolving. As long as you keep the balance below 30% (around 10% is best), you will maximize your credit utilization and boost your score.

Even Dietitians are held to HIPPA standards.

I would think they would all be as well, but I mean who is going to come on TD and figure out someone said that?

Balance to limit ratio's. Card's that have balances with 50% or more of the limit used really hurt your score. Keeping them below 50%, usually around 30%, reflects positively and boosts your score.

Also, the length of time you have had credit. Paying off an older card and closing out the account or having the creditor close out the account reflects negatively.

Getting a divorce used to lower a person's credit score but I don't know if that is still the case.

This is the case if its a joint account or someone is an authorized user on the others card and they decide to stop making payments and/or max out the card.

Yes, but nothing can quite compare to shark week. It tops them all!

I work for a credit restoration company and do disputes day in and day out and I have never once seen a mortgage late removed. You could call the bank and ask for a courtesy removal (or in this case a few) and see if they would be willing to remove the late dates now that he is making scheduled payments again. If you do, make sure to point out the past positive payment history and the fact the account was in good standing for quite some time.

Also, it can't hurt to send a dispute to the credit bureaus reporting on the account asking them to verify the late dates. Keep in mind the 30 day timeframe begins the day the bureau receives your dispute letter and not the day you date/type it.

Pray the bureau's cant get hold of the bank and are unable to verify the dates!!
It must be the fact that you go to/are a fan of Ohio State that makes you immediately accuse me of being gay rather than female...

I'd love to hear your thought process..

I think Henry is too obvious of a choice now. To be honest, I think Madison has to be involved in some way, but I dont think the killer is anyone obvious.

What about Trish, Cal, Shea, Christopher or Chloe??

But very intense episode!!!
