Saban gets a free pass because he turned around LSU football. His loss against UAB was his first year and he was still finding the players that fit his system. I am still not even sure Les has a system. Seems like he plays upper classman and nothing else matters.
Saban also gets a free pass because he left LSU seats full in tiger stadium. He expanded the stadium. He was the one who had the new building built. HE brought LSU from the dead and made us into a powerhouse.

No disrespect to Miles, but he doesnt hold a candle to Saban's coaching abilities. Better man, yes, but coaching, no way.

Wow...that's something else. Can HE part the Sea as well?

LSU hired 2 football coaches. Miles wins more games. Period.

How can you even compare the two at LSU. Saban came into a program that needed a rebuilding of players that fit his system and he needed to create a whole new atmosphere for the fans.

Trent Johnson is coming into a program like Saban was.

Wait you mean LSU had a Program before HE graced LSU with his presence? You mean LSU had well over 600 Wins before HE arrived?

Don't know. Wasn't reading this website then and I don't see anybody in their right mind calling for Miles' head.

Saying he needs to make staff changes at the end of the season is not calling for his head.

Nope. Not under either coach.

That may be reasonable, depending on the rest of the season. But a pretty damned stupid thing for everyone on this board to be talking about right now. The recruits or their friends read these boards. We need players in certain areas very badly. Bitching & moaning and genrally running the LSU Program & Coaches down does not help that at all.

I suspect that's why some "LSU Fans" on here are doing that..

Right here, Pal. The very first post I made on the board was under a different handle on September 2, 2002. I called out the little money grubbing whore for taking an unprepared LSU team into Blacksburg and getting his arse handed to him by Frank Beamer and Virginia Tech.

Saban had some good teams at LSU, but the moon, stars and planets all aligned for LSU's SEC and BSC championships. Nick Saban is a good coach, but he is also very lucky. He is also a reprehensible lying sack of shite and I'll take Les Miles over Nick Saban any day.

Les Miles > Nick Saban. Anyone who disagrees can go piss up a rope.

Saban is lucky? Umm you need to change to Miles.

You can have Miles over Saban, people who KNOW college football and are not just talking shite because of what he did to LSU will take Saban.

You're right. He isn't lucky. LSU deserved to go to the SECCG to face Tennessee after LOSING THREE conference games. One of them to Tennessee. He wasn't lucky that LSU made it into the 2003 BCS championship game because Idaho beat Hawaii the last weekend of the season - or some equally ridiculous teams that I cannot remember the names of.

Sure Les' LSU team is the only two loss team to ever win the national championship. But there was a time when money did not dictate and college football seasons were shorter. I guess it doesn't matter that several 10-1 teams have been national champions - and one or two of them were instead of an undefeated team.

Now, go cheer for Saban and Bammer.

FEAR THE HAT!

LES MILES > Little Nicky

You have to be 14. Or the most narrow minded short busser on this board.
