Hmmm.. 4 picks 6s total is 28 points. UGA got the ball at THEIR 35 on the other INT. That's not even close to FG range.

We're also 9/12 in SEC total defense. Returned INT yardage doesn't count there. Our defense is one of the worst in the SEC.

why do you feel the urge to bring up Saban to defend Miles?

I thought he has had like 6 INTs returned for TDs this year.....you sure it's only 4?

Do I need to "Defend" Miles? Doesn't his 39-8 record speak for itself?

I asked about how people would have reacted had Miles had 5 losses in his 3rd year as Saban did.

You like to rewrite history, why don't you go ahead and make something up and start passing it off as fact.

I'll help you, Miles loses 5 games in 3rd year, LSU fans pissed because our program should be in a better state. You can include Saban lost his 5 games 3rd year and everyone wanted him fired - your revisionist history - since LSU fans felt the program had reached its pinnacle under Saban.

What the Hell are you talking about? How did I rewrite history?

I don't feel LSU reached its pinnacle under Saban at all. I know many others don't feel that way either. Saban had 2 double digit win seasons at LSU. Miles recrd speaks for itself.

And again, RANTard, when have I disparaged Miles? Called for his head? When have I interjected Saban into any thread let alone start a brand new one like this? You know the answer, never on each account.

The defense needs to be addressed immediately and at the end of the season. That is my truth.

I think your truth lies somewhere between idiocy and uselessness. Have a great day!

Good answer. Also, Saban came across as a "coach". Miles doesn't have that aura about him and I think why many fans aren't as comfortable about him at times...losing two games that we get 50 hung on us certainly doesn't help either.

What if Miles had lost 5 games in his 3rd year like Saban did

miles inherited a COMPLETELY different program

for example, in miles 2nd year our QB had the best year of any CFB QB and the best year for any QB in LSU history

Huh..so Jamarcus Russell surpassed the LSU record set by then Senior Rohan Davey of 3,347 yards passing in 2001? Funny, I don't remember JR having any 500+ yards passing games like Rohan did against Bama.

Of course when you said the "Best year for any QB in LSU history", perhaps you had other stats in mind. Maybe completion percentages, number of TDs, etc.

There was no TD back then........this board magnifies LSU football now and it SEEMS that any hint of trouble, the negatigers come out of the woodworks.

It's gonna be ok......really

(3) Even in that down year, the defense never, ever, ever, ever performed as atrociously as it has this year against UF and UGA. Never. Ever. Even when it was overmatched against a much more talented UT team with Roy Williams in the Cotton Bowl. Even in the bad loss to Alabama at home.

The thing people are failing to realize using this argument is that college offenses are very very different in 08 than 04 or 02. There was no spread in the SEC those seasons and other than UGA, the Gumps have gotten a pass to this point against a wide open offense.

The other thing is yeah 50+ in two games sucks, but the reality of CFB is scoring is up and will keep going that way
