Saban really does know how to run a football program, when fans are getting punished. I think some sorta system like this one should be here at LSU too because Les needs all the help he can get.

Just another reason to dislike that arrogant prick. Saban is such a POS.

Not going to lie. I liked his point. How much the team preps, works out, their whole routine and all they ask of the fans in to spend one game a week in their seats. It was all true.

They won that game 52-0... I wouldn't expect people to stay for a blow out like that. The greek section will always leave a little early because us greeks are a fan of alcohol and rallying for the after parties

I agree with Nick.

So should instructors suspend blocks of seats when football players don't go to class or leave early?

Hey Nick, bathroom visits should be limited to 2 and no one goes to the bathroom when you need noise when an opponent needs a first down with a 3 and 25.

From Saban

quote:

Everybody else should have the same sort of commitment. You don't have to do the work all week, you don't have to practice, you don't have to come in at 7 in the morning and leave at 11 at night, you don't have to do any of that stuff.

See the disdain he has for students. Maybe they have been studying their arse off and working part time too. Saban 'has' to come in at 7 and leave at 11. See his sacrifice! For 5 mill a year he should be busting his arse. The fans come for entertainment. If they leave early it is because winning 50-0 is boring.

Two things:
1. On general principle I agree with Nick and applaud the move made by Alabama in suspending the bloc seating privileges. But...
2. I also agree with someone who commented on the article, that Alabama needs to quit scheduling "junior high teams" if they expect to keep fans interested. This is a major good point.
IMO it also applies to LSU and scheduling Towsons and Furmans and other such non-entities. Who wants to pay for or stay for nothing games like those?

LSU has other problems on its hands, not just scheduling shitty teams.

When you have attendance problems for Auburn and Florida games, then your issues run much deeper.

It is much more convenient to not attend an lsu football game. I would ve very content watching game in parking lot while tailgating. Better food, better drinks, better view of games.

Product AT THE GAME is now an inferior product by a wider margin. Don't fix that and the problems will persist

So does every team in any sport at any school.

Were those in the blocks of seats refunded any money? I remember the Reserved seating costing about $50 more than General Student seating while I was at LSU.

I never understood why certain groups got block seating. It should all be general admission open to every student. That's if you want higher participation.

this is such a dumb line of thinking. Are they doing all of this prep work for me personally so now I owe it to them sit through an entire game?
