The NFL season isn't over until January 9th. We can't wait that long to get a coach hired.

Woodward needs to target Saints DC Dennis Allen. Great defensive coordinator and knows the value of having a potent offense working with Sean Payton.

Agree, yes Urban burns out, just one of those guys that is a high stress guy. But in 6 years at Florida, 3 SEC title games, 2 SEC Titles and 2 NC's. At Ohio State, in 7 years, 3 B1G titles (was 12-0 in his first year but not eligible to play for it) and 1 CFP, 83-9 overall.

IF O flames out, I will take Urban for 6 years right now. He is 2-2 head to head with Saban and other than Saban has the best resume among any recent College ball coach.

USC got blown out by Stanford this weekend and I don't know if Helton out there survives, that would be potentially the only other big-time job that might come open for next year and it seems both Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart were lobbying for Urban to be USC's coach a few years ago when they were working together on the Fox pre-game show, which was a darn good show with Meyer breaking down games.

It’s a lot easier to coach and recruit at Ohio state than the shark tank of saban/sec. if he comes back it won’t be here, more like somewhere USC where he can dominate the conference.

In Ryan's mind, he's a crusader and a journalist searching for truth

Honestly, this is exactly the kind of blockbuster hire Woodward would attempt to make.

Yeah, that’s why he just went to the NFL where the average shelf life of a coach is like 3 years and a lot more is at stake.

say what?!? LSU has recruited phenomenally well for many, many years, even with moron Les and O as head coach.

Meyer would kill it here on the recruiting trail.

My only concern with Urban is that he’s been known to jump ship pretty quickly. We’d only have him for 4-5 years tops
