Keep in mind. You will never see the complete offense in the first game of the season. They will roll more and more out for the next few games and I personally think it is going to be vastly better than the past two years.

I'm sorry, I just don't buy this theory. If this is true then the coaches are truly dumb as hell. I bet Green Bay didn't use the power sweep until like after game 5... don't want to tip your hand.

Much todo about nothing. RS got the ball a fair amount last night. He isn't the only playmaker on the team. He is playing receiver not tailback so he will never get the ball 25 times a game.

Since we WANT to get him the ball more than a receiver normally would you would think we would run some special plays designed just for him. Oh wait we did that!!!

ya 7 touches clearly enough when we score 0 in the 2nd half.

the point is we go away from things that work. its just not logical

Whats the argument here? The more touches he gets, the more points we score.

the more shep gets the ball the more effective our o is leading to more points.

very logical but gary and les hate logic. they like the plays that dont work and limiting sheps touches so they dont hurt others feelings

i think we should lock him up in our mythical vault along with the secret playbook until we have at least 3 losses under belt and then BAM! run him up the middle

Manny, if the coaches read that statement they would probably offer you a job

No offense to the common knowledge of the rant, but dude let an option pitch hit him in the stomach, and dropped a pass on 3rd down that hit him in the hands.

Combine that with the fact that you have Randle and Tolliver both on the field too... he isn't gonna get 20 touches.

I don't want him as our OC, either.....

Alabama / Auburn / Florida / UT / Miss St / Ole Miss and every other opponent would mysteriously end up with a copy of our playbook.....

Shep should be integrated into the offense just as Dexter McCluster was utilized by Ole Miss the last two years. They are basically the same player, except that Shep can throw the ball better...therefore much more dangerous in non-traditional offensive sets ("Wild Tiger").

Our running backs are very similar to what Ole Miss had last year (Bolden similar to Ridley, etc.). We have much bigger threats at WR.

Ole Miss turned an Independence Bowl team at best into a Cotton Bowl winning team by riding the fastest horse in the barn...McCluster. We can turn what appears to be a Peach Bowl team into a BCS level team by doing the same thing with Shep in my opinion.

Well he was thrown the ball 2 more times on top of those seven and dropped a toss on an option play.
So that is ten plays he should have had the ball in his hand.

Then you have to look at the situation, Shep isn't gonna be the guy in the game when your looking for some power running. Which is important no matter what you think.

I was impressed with his dribbling abilities, he's like the Tack Minor of football... all over the place.

not so sure if its fair to blame Shep for that 3rd down drop.

Im the biggest Jordan fan in the world, I defend him constantly and think he can be great, but if you look to Sheps left, there is a slight window that Jordan could have maybe slipped the ball into that would have given Shep a better chance at catching it.

2 TDs on 7 touches = Keiland vs VT in 2007. Look for Ridley to now get 25 carries a game to keep Shep away from the ball. Miles hates people who make big plays and show up his Big Ten up the middle RBs.
