LSU at 42 after beating Auburn on the road.... Missouri is 11-18 and still somehow head of LSU in RPI. Ridiculous

And as I posted that we move up to 42

Win tomorrow and we are in for sure.

I think the we may have accomplished it tonight, but don't want to leave it to chance. Miss St. having a good weekend against UF makes me a little uneasy.

Gotta have some patience my man. We keep winning and things will settle out. If we handle up we'll find our way to the tourney. If we don't we won't. It's that simple. We have the games left to do it. We just have to win them.

An SEC team that plays no OOC away games complaining about how the RPI algorithm is unfair is rich.

It is unfair. Explain why road games should count more than home games

the RPI formula favors teams from the SEC and ACC. if LSU does not make the tournament than they cannot blame the RPI.

I heard Hunt Palmer say that tweak to RPI was made to accommodate Midwest and other northern teams that want to play but must play almost all early season games on the road because of their bad weather. They end up with more road games than southern teams, so they got a little boost for their troubles,

It’s debatable.

I think it’s 43 now. If we win tomorrow and other things happen, I think we will be around 37 or 38 going into the SEC Tourney.

That just boggles my mind. Idc what the computers say.. SEC standings should have a lot more parity than out of conference games. Also considering that most out of conference games are the first month of the year and that mid week games include your reserve pitchers (for the most part....).

Also considering we are 33-22 and they are 33-21 overall, there is no reason they should be ahead of us in the computers even though they have a better non conference record. That's just how I view it. I'm not arguing with the statistics and computers... Jmho.

If I'm figuring this right, the best possible conference finish is 6th and the worst 8th. Top half of this year's SEC and a RPI in the 40s should be good enough for the 3-seed in Tallahassee.

To the idiots that say midweek games don’t matter, this why you’re wrong.

Road wins are so highly weighted in the RPI calculation.

Take care of business today and everything will take care of itself. Three series wins to finish the season, over top 5 and top 25 teams.

Because it's historically more difficult to win on the road. Average teams win just at home. Good/great teams can win anywhere. That's why road games count more

They should count evenly, or at least closer to a 1.1 factor, not 1.3
