there is a reason RPI is only one factor.

Secondly I don't think today is a must win, but we can't afford to lose our next two. If we win one or two in hoover even with a loss today I think we are fine. Of course a win locks up a spot in the post season.

Exactly. The only time midweek games don’t matter is when you’re winning 40+ games and going 20-10 in conference. This team didn’t have the luxury to lose midweek games.

LSU went 10-4 in midweek games this season.

Last season when we were at top 8 national seed LSU went 8-6 in midweek games.

So, what's your point?

He will now disappear. He thought he was making a point, and you just shite all over it.

Had LSU won just 3-4 road games (with 2-3 of them being SEC games) we would be talking about who is coming to the BR regional right now, and what we need to do to pull off another national seed. The difference in not making a tournament and hosting is razor thin this year in the SEC.

The Walker, Smith, Broussard, Watson, Fedduci injuries were killers this season, and yet LSU is still right there.

I agree.

Add the Labas, Storz, Coomes, Webre, Kodros, Gilbert and Bryce Jordan injuries to the list.

All of them missed at least a weekend series due to injuries.

Coomes missed two weeks with a concussion from being hit in the hit with a ball.

Kodros missed the first month of the season with a sore shoulder.

Gilbert missed a weekend SEC series with a sore arm. (I personally believe he's still hurt and that's why he's struggling so much.)

Webre missed 3 games after he ran into the rolled up tarp by the bullpen in Alex Box chasing a foul fly ball spraining his wrist, knocking out a tooth and having stitches in his lip to close the hole where the tooth exited his mouth.

Yeah. I didn't include all of them, because I don't think all of those would play a large factor in LSU winning many more games. Labas probably belonged with that first group I listed. Stortz we think should belong with that huge impact group as well, but we haven't seen him enough.

For now, we are still at 42 after that loss, if that holds, that would be huge for us

Mizzou will not make a regional. LSU has a very good chance of making one.

So you tell me how much they matter.
