FWIW — My stream is fine. And I’ve got it running from my phone to my Roku tv on AirPlay.

I turned the screen on my iPad sideways and was able to access the full screen option, which is BS that we have to figure these things out from this crappy money-stealing product.

One of my phones let me cast to my TV, one wouldn’t show TV. If it doesn’t you can always do screen mirroring.
