Sorry about the delay. I literally told them four times to turn the crowd mic up.

I just turned it on. I’m on it.

I told the production this morning it was ridiculous not to have the mic rolling. If I can’t hear Guillot, the crowd mic isn’t on. Passed on the audio issues and have been on the phone with the server folks all morning.
If you guys have anything else to pass on to production please let me know.

I'm talking about the crowd mic. Not overall.

Other than the poster above, I don't have a single complaint on twitter, my email, our customer service email, etc, about this. That was the first I've heard of it, and it was passed on. Not sure what your issue is there.
FYI -- we've put today's game up on our YouTube Channel:

If that is the case, it won't happen again.

KP was in Frisco today, and Aaron Fitt is there as well. Mike Rooney is out in Vegas.

I'm not shutting anything down. I'm going to guess the person DM'ing me is the one doing it (and probably was doing it last night when I was blamed for it while playing a game with my son).

The server we are on is prepared for 30-40K people -- it's also prepared for 10-15K to hit it at once. Since the site moves people off the site when you click WATCH NOW, there should never ever be that many people on the site at once. In this instance, there were about 6,000 people on the site at once. Right now, there are 7,500 from the upcoming Texas game on the site, so that couldn't have been the issue.
For reference, we had about 8,000 LSU fans on the site two years ago -- total.

It was not Ragin Review or Larry ...... but it was someone tied to another school.

If I'm being honest, I had someone reach out to me asking if I wanted to shut her down. I told them if we shut her down right now, I'm going to wake up with a horse head in my bed.

Hey there, everyone.
For those wondering, I was not intentionally staying away earlier. I was working with the server company via our technicians. I also didn't want to come up here and just make up some BS excuse when I didn't have a clue what I was talking about on the issue.
First of all, it's up to me and KP at D1 to make sure fans have a great experience. After 2023, we worked through several steps before the 2024 tournaments (without LSU) to make sure everything ran smoothly. It did. It ran great. But that was without LSU.
So, in the weeks leading up to this, we had multiple conversations and meetings with our tech team, along with the hosting company in charge. It was very much stressed that with LSU, Texas, etc, on the streaming side, we needed to make sure the server was prepared to house 10-15K people at a time. Three times this week we were assured that all preparations were made to avoid any potential hiccups. There's zero reason for fans to miss any of the games outside of some unforeseen circumstance.
Fast forward to the beginning of the LSU game, everything had run ultra smooth. I even texted Kyle thinking man this is so smooth, it almost worries me a bit. Lo and behold, when 6,000 people pinged the server at once (including one person who did it about 500 times a minute on his own), it sent the database queries into a tiffy. Again, that should never happen, whether 6,000 or 20,000 show up. Hell, we're paying a lot of money for that type of server space.
The other very difficult aspect of the hiccups early in the game is that we estimated that about 75% of the people were actually seeing the game, 20% were getting some damn 'waiting room' error and then another 5% were getting zero access to the site. That made it difficult, at least on my end, to attack every single complaint and issue. My understanding is that things were back to normal by the fifth inning. Still unacceptable.
I come on this board a lot - many times during nonstreaming hours - and I love reading what you guys say about LSU Baseball and the sport in general. When this kind of crap happens, it reflects on me, Kyle, and everyone at D1Baseball. So, the bucks stop here.
I know many of you were able to watch but if you were one of the ones who could not, I am giving those people who were having troubles a refund for the day. We are also uploading today's LSU game to our YouToube channel and not waiting until tomorrow to do it.
If you had a lot of trouble during the game today, feel free to email me kendallrogersd1@att.net and I'll refund the day to you.
Anyway - this entire situation is insanely annoying because I know many of you pretty well, and ultimately, it's embarrassing for D1 to have to deal with when we did a system of checks to avoid this. The server company has assured me there will not be a repeat of this, but the proof is in the pudding. It's a massive company, so there's zero reason to be having this issue.
I know some of you thought I would just run away and avoid criticism, but that's not who I am. If I'm going to encroach on your territory, I'm going to come take it like a man and answer any questions I can.
Appreciate you all! GT.

That's a weird one. I just checked with our streaming support team and they have not gotten anyone with that error.

All good. Everything looks really good on the server side right now. I just checked in.
On a side note, I saw some LSU fans on here the other night say that they really wanted pitch coutns on our broadcasts because Flo did not. I have informed the production company to include pitch counts for all of the games this weekend if they were not already planning on it.

I just clicked the link from Minute Maid and got through immediately. I also just tried two guest accounts.
DM me if that issue persists. I'm not getting this report elsewhere (yet).

First of all, people should've still been pissed, but two years ago, five innings of the first game were off, not the entire weekend. But the point is taken.
To the user who is getting a login is busy message, I just tested three different guest accounts and did not encounter this issue. I'm also not getting any reports in my inbox, DMs or by support that we are having issues. Try logging out and back in.
On the other user getting that member message -- check your cart at d1baseball.com/cart -- that means you have another subscription in your cart. you need to get a regular streaming package.
