At the end of the LSU/OM game when we sacked Dart the final time, instead of commenting on our dominant D line, his immediate reaction was, “well I just hope he’s not injured, cause that would be a shame.”
Basically insinuating that we should’ve lightened up the pass rush late in the game in order to save their QB from a possible injury.

I take it the opposite. A slight against Kiffin for having Dart in there and still dropping him back to pass.
Btw, I was on the field before the game and so was Gary D for a while. He is a big man.

Gary used to be fine back in the mid 00's before Bama started dominating, he saved the broadcast when Verne was absolute dog shite to listen to. My question is how do you be that so non self aware and why doesn't somebody at CBS fix it, and most of all why do you feel the need to announce like he does in the first place? There are 13 other teams in the SEC, why would you alienate them?

He does these things all the time. Constantly mis calls plays being reviewed or penalties. Gets names wrong a ton, and then there was the times he said ten times that Tebow was calling LSU "paper tigers" when he was obviously making the cell phone gesture.

Dude, he doesn’t just show up on Saturday and shoot from the hip.
The teams/coaches give the announcers inside information tidbits to use during the broadcast from interviews during the week. There’s a big production meeting on Friday where he gets fed a bunch of info from the stat guys and a “script” of relevant player knowledge and heart-warming story bull shite. Then he’s got a freakin earpiece in so they can shovel him more horse shite to say on gameday.
He knows football, but he doesn’t cook up all that shite on his own in the moment. He’s not Ron Burgundy, but damn! Wake up. CBS pays a lot of money for the rights to run SEC games. Danielson is just familiar, like a hot girlfriend that got fat and went psycho, and you’re just keeping her around because you’re too lazy to go through the process of finding a new one.
