I already opted out on this season. Meaningless!
Hope the NFL is still around for him...opted out permanently!

I am sad that he is turning pro. I am grateful for what he did as an LSU Tiger. Please respect his decision. Act like you have class even if you have to pretend. He handled himself with class and helped win a National Championship as part of a team that will be compared to, if not known as, the greatest team ever. I wish him well.

He could’ve gone down as the Goat

Instead just another great LSU WR

Best of luck young man

Can't believe this what Lsu fans have come to,this is a homegrown kid whom stayed balled out and was a huge part of bringing a championship back to the Bayou!!Good luck to him!!

Still hoping coach O can convince him to change his mind. He’s already done it once why not again?

I don’t see how sitting out helps your draft status. Obviously if he got hurt. I get that part. But, no telling what guys blow up this season. No you’re gonna draft a guy, top 10, who hasn’t played in over a year?

Mixed emotions here. Was really looking forward to one more year with the Tigers, probably the best decision for his future. Brennan loses a huge target, but the depth is there to pick up some of the slack.
Good luck Chase .. thanks for the memories.

Everyone pissed off in this thread is just being ridiculous. Chase has been a great tiger and nothing will change that for me. Look football is sport and becomes a business for those that are good at it. Chase is very good at it so good luck Chase. This young man started this season with intentions to play but honestly with teams like OSU, Penn st., etc. opting out this season probably won't amount to much in the big picture of college football history. Call it what you want: quitting on his team or letting his teammates down but I am sure this wasn't an easy decision for Chase and his family. Football is a business and those that don't see that then that's just dumb. Good luck CHASE and next great tiger WR please step up

When you consider everything, this does not surprise me. Disappoint maybe, but not a surprise. I hope it works out great for Ja'Marr. Best of luck.

THIs is an LSU problem and always has been. Saban has no issues not getting Najee Harris or Waddle or D Smith from opting out. They’re going to boat race us if we lose any other impact players

I have no issues with Chase opting out if he is getting a no collateral loan for millions from his agent's company.

If his agent's company offered Chase a $5 million dollar loan (no collateral), then you have to take that deal. But as I said, I'm hoping the dollars were big.
