So Trevor Lawrence is about to do the same?? Not a chance Certainly possible. Not everyone makes the same decision. That’s what’s great about making choices
Timing is everything and Chase opting out now versus before practice started his the problem I have.
Lawrence would never opt out this late in the game

Waddle, Surtain, Leatherwood, Moses, Smith are all first round picks.
And none seem to be opting out.
And all those guys are trying to move up to the top WR spot in the draft and get more money
Whose the top WR in the draft? Chase.
Simple as that

I'm honestly fully expecting 6-4 this year.
This shite is getting so fricking tiring.

yeah ok. His dad has been going on OTB and been saying he’s playing...one call from Ryan Clark and he opts out within days
And you know this phone call occurred how?
You’re an idiot.

Yea i don't support this at all. He had every opportunity to decide on this weeks ago. He accepted the number 7, he supported the #wewanttoplay movement and has been one of the team leaders. He abandoned his team, thats all this is. I get he doesn't have anything to gain this year, but for fricks sake, once you commit to something so fricking heavily don't you dare back out of your obligations you made for 100 of your brothers. Dont be a fricking leader and then say nah because the money smells too good.

If this was a BLM issue wouldn’t he be making an issue out of it?
It is entirely possible the events from the last few days have nothing to do with his decision but it seems like there is a chance it contributed.

He left early too, you know that right? Was he also “quitting on his team”?
Don’t be dumb.

Before long they will be one and done like the nba.
I get why he did but damn, talk about shitty timing . Those were valuable reps that could have gone to another guy all camp. Bitch move.
I wonder if he just got busted talking to an agent and is now forced to sit out? I’m not sure they can even talk to agents .

So why did KV5 opt out then? By your logic he should be playing.

Half of the season ticket holders opted out of their seats, including me. I don't blame JC for choosing not to play the faux season. Good luck to him in the NFL.
I'm really excited to see some of the younger guys step up.

You are crazy of you think the locker room doesn’t get his decision to go make money. They may be unhappy but getting drafted as high as possible is the goal of 90% of those players.

This is my point.
The only other thing I can think of is maybe he had a chance to see what this offense looked like and said NOPE. Either way completely disappointing.

No. HE didn’t bring us a natty... but HE quit on his team. Good luck to him but this is wack.
A team you and I aren’t on. So maybe he has their understanding and support.

Why do you assume everyone has the exact same motives/reasons/thought process when it comes to personal decisions?
One person making one choice has zero effect on another separate person in a separate situation making a different choice

Nothing is to stop that from happening. Nothing ever was there to stop it from happening.
Players are getting smarter about what their value is and how valuable each year is in terms of long term finances. Simple as that. Times change and teams will adapt
This. Some people around here seem to believe men shouldn't be allowed the freedom to make their own decisions.

you people are going crazy over a player that made a choice, and are pissed because he won’t be playing for LSU this year......
Oh no!! How dare fans be upset that one of the best players in school history just quit weeks before his last season!!
