If this has nothing to do with covid then I think there are plenty of people who can be mad.

This may have something to do with how CeeDee Lamb is already turning heads. The chances that he would replicate is 2019-2020 output with Brennan are questionable at best. It is the best move for him. He gave LSU two years of his best and with the current uncertainty, I can't blame him.

The fact y'all still think this is about Covid and his safety is hilarious.

Justyn Ross, Rashad Bateman, Rondale Moore

All are missing 2020 as well

Chase isn’t going to be harmed by this

Best of luck to him. Doesn’t need this season unlike the others we’ve had opt out. It’s BS that he used all of those practice reps that could’ve gone elsewhere though. This season is such a crock of shite

Waddle, Surtain, Leatherwood, Moses, Smith are all first round picks.

And none seem to be opting out.

Playing because they will take a pay cut in the NFL

If this decision was purely based off of him needing to focus on himself and football then I 100% support it and wish him the best. If it was cause of the Ryan Clark/BLM BS then I do not respect his decision at all but I still wish him the best.

I posted this on 247 and think it sums up my thoughts on this situation well enough.

I thought he wanted his name inside the stadium and not just outside the stadium.

Articles clearly say agents feeding him info. Scaring him into not playing so they can make a greater cut if they sign him

Nothing is to stop that from happening. Nothing ever was there to stop it from happening.

Players are getting smarter about what their value is and how valuable each year is in terms of long term finances. Simple as that. Times change and teams will adapt

The only problem with this thought process is eventually colleges will make changes to how they use these players. The 18 yr old that can take a redshirt year now will be camp meat in the future.

If this was a BLM issue wouldn’t he be making an issue out of it?

Also, special shout out to beardedzeuss or whatever the frick his name is. In one of the threads yesterday, asking for a link from someone relaying inside information and essentially saying it was impossible they knew anything.

Jefferson also wasn’t set to play in a 10 game fake season where he had literally nothing to gain to further his career.

Jamar will be a top 10 pick at worst. Jets was a mid round pick at beet before the season.

That’s already been happening for the past 10-20 years. Why do you think we always have a handful of freshmen impact players

Early football development has advanced to the point that these guys are much more ready for the college game sooner than they ever have been. Most of the time a redshirt season is just a waste for the top talents.

Get what you can out of them and plan for an early exit if they blow up. We’ve been doing it since the peak Miles years

Draft stock probably won't ever get higher than it was after last season, good luck to him in the pros.
