Bottom line is this. He can go to ANY SCHOOL IN THE NATION that isn't in the SEC or TCU. Hell he can even go to Miami that on our future schedule. He can go to JUCO for a year then go to TCU if he wants. O said he'd take him back at LSU also. Kid has options and is currently on pretty damn good scolly..........Absolutly don't feel bad for him or friggin TCU

I want LSU to be a national brand, not a state or regional. I could care less about a fence around the state. I want the best players in the country that want to be tigers no matter where they are from. Then the point of your post is exactly what? It is widely reported that TCU is suspected of illegal contact and this is why Orgeron blocked Allen from TCU.

Right. Doing this never reflects well on the program that does it. Ends up looking petty.

Nothing Pettier than the little fella's program two states east and they don't care. Doesn't seem to be holding them back.

TCU has been recruiting players on our roster for years now. Allen isn't the first. Need to send a message making sure he's the last.

LSU shouldn't be TCU's farm system.

I say any player that doesn't want to be a tiger let them geaux where ever they want. There are enough good players out there that want to be here

Yeah, let's pay to develop them on scholarship for 2 years, then once they're good enough to play let them transfer somewhere else. Keep all doors open. Make sure the recruiting process doesn't end on signing day...

We have gotten a ton more top ten players in Texas than they have...so I didn't have a problem with their little pipeline to parts of Louisiana for mostly players we don't offer...or in the case of Rogers...a guy who knows he would be way down the pecking order. But when they start contacting players still on our roster....well...that crap needs to stop.

It's less about Allen, and more about TCU.

All of this is just bullshite stupid people on the rant are worried about.

You have to really be blind to take this stance. How could you look at those situations and think there were no issues in the way they were handled?

Key word in my post was "are". If you are still worrying about any of that shite, or think it actually matters nationally, you need to get your priorities straight.

Doesnt matter. We still continue to lose the PR battle.
IF, and I say IF, TCU was actively recruiting him while on our team, then frick the "PR battle". The PR angle is totally overblown, no one gives a damn outside of Allen, LSU, and TCU and that would blow over quickly as soon as he landed elsewhere.

Agreed The Mick.

There's a more important battle. And that's the one to other schools. I'd sacrifice the "PR" to let schools know that it is not worth the risk of NCAA penalties and resources to do this to LSU. In the end, it was a risk and waste for TCU because he got blocked.

And all it took was a letter to send the message, waste their resources, and create the risk of NCAA penalties. Easy. Why give that up for PR.

As for other recruits, they know what's up. Many schools, including LSU, not to mention various NCAA workshops review said things.

Myles Brennan was one of the Top Ten HS QB's in the country and definitely in the "Elite" category.

At this point, LSU doesn't need anymore DT QB's who were the best "Athletes" on their HS team, but were basically glorified running backs.

They get to college and fall apart when trying to learn a much more complicated Offense that requires accurate passing, going through progressions, playbook knowledge and reading defenses.

Some make the transition, but many don't when having to do all that very quickly at an SEC/LSU level.

Semjase with more racism folk. If you think this kid is just a glorified running back, you obviously hasnt watched Justin Roger's film. Brennan's high school offense was a simple spread offense. It was filled with simple RPOs. The level of comp was equivalent to Louisiana 3A. But you're willing give him the benefit of the doubt. I wonder why??? QBs failing to make the transition to Power 5 level is just as likely amount non-DT QBs as DTs.

I don't think the sun is setting on Coach O because Rogers went to TCU. I think we will be just fine with Etling, Brennan and Narcisse.

We won't keep both of them. The one that stays will have to wait.

He honestly sounds more and more like Brandon Harris 2.0. Reading the takes from the 7 on 7 camp, the comments were that he can really spin it, but hardly ever went anywhere but his first target. Just sounds so familiar coming from the same school.

The fact that they tried to make an issue out of if publicly speaks volumes. Jimmy Details should put them on blast.

Either Narcisse or Brennan will be under center in Dallas against Miami.

Perhaps TCU shouldn't have had a recruiting camp in BR at Southern on Wednesday ??
