This is so dumb, and it seems it's because a top in-state QB recruit chose TCU over LSU, making Coach O look like a jilted lover.

How can they prove that TCU was tampering with Allen during the season?

The Florida football rescheduling debacle, the "camp blocking" claim, this transfer, are all similar in that they call on the AD, the HC and their PR arms to handle the controversy and make us look good.
I have a bad feeling about this...

Considering LSU’s desperate attempts to find an elite quarterback in recent seasons, letting the state’s top prospect leave for TCU isn’t the best sign for Ed Orgeron’s LSU program.
Myles Brennan was one of the Top Ten HS QB's in the country and definitely in the "Elite" category.

At this point, LSU doesn't need anymore DT QB's who were the best "Athletes" on their HS team, but were basically glorified running backs.

They get to college and fall apart when trying to learn a much more complicated Offense that requires accurate passing, going through progressions, playbook knowledge and reading defenses.

Some make the transition, but many don't when having to do all that very quickly at an SEC/LSU level.

Things have sucked so much since Herb Vincent left.

That's ridiculous.

More likely, there has been some improper contact from TCU recruiters that LSU is aware of.

Never really thought about this. But it's true.

TCU was recruiting him while he was at LSU. O is making it known that's unacceptable and won't be tolerated.

If this is true, then I'm 100% in favor of blocking Allen's transfer there.

Exactly. Knowing something happened & proving it are two separate things. LSU (or any other college) simply can not allow other schools to scan its roster, find highly ranked recruits down the depth chart, then allow that other school to make contact & entice them to transfer.

No one knows exactly what transpired, but LSU thinks TCU made contact with Allen & enticed him in some manner to transfer.

LSU can think this all they want to. But until some actual facts are presented I'm going to put this under speculation.

FWIW, I lean more towards lsu blocking the kid because of Rogers.

If there is any suggestion of improper contact, LSU needs to get it out there, because we look petty and vindictive otherwise, particularly with TCU being out of conference and a weaker program.

While I'm usually all for letting kids go to any schools that's not on your schedule, something seems odd about this. I have no problem with O blocking TCU if there was indeed contact. Social media mob will end up getting their way.

Doesnt matter. We still continue to lose the PR battle.
