Man, can you imagine if they moved all the sports?
Baseball Sunday or Monday (sometimes both), Basketball Tuesday, Baseball Wednesday-Friday, Basketball Friday as well. Football Saturday.
That's not going to happen. So if Football goes to the spring, what the hell they do with baseball and the back side of the basketball schedule? No way basketball or baseball playa Saturday on campus with football... Unless discounted tickets to let the tailgaters come watch before the game.

Stupid have the 1st month of games without fans or only band and a few thousands students. September go full tilt.

I can’t speak to logistical issues, but a part of me thinks having LSU football home game and basketball home game on same day would actually increase our overall basketball average attendance. I’d imagine a number of people that don’t normally go to the basketball games would if they were already on campus. My guess is the PMAC would be packed for those games.

Nothing will be different between November and February. Vaccine won't be available until after February anyway, even if one is found to work late this year (likely). Probably looking at summer 2021 before widespread availability of a vaccine.
So you might as well start this season in November if they are trying to be conservative about it.

Wait. I'd get football and baseball AT THE SAME TIME?!

2021 season not starting until November seems excessive.
But the 2020 season starting in 2021 doesn't?

I'd rather CFB kickoff in the Fall if at all possible, than to try n February 2021 when coronavirus might well kick off round 2 (as Fauci and other experts are concerned might happen). No vaccine is going to help this year; it's hopefully for the future and likely will not be ready until Fall of 2021 (again per reports).

A college football season starting in November would be frickin awful
Well, there wouldn't be any hot-as-balls home games early in the season. Also, it would still be better than no season at all.

schefty: Speaking to people in and around college football this week, there is “strong conviction” there will be college football this season. Uncertainty about when - multiple scenarios being debated - but they sound certain there still will be college football this season.

2020 season
-February 2021 kickoff
-13 week full season to end in May
2021 season
-2021 season kickoff pushed to November and would go thru March 2022

Theres absolutely no reason for a February start, and frankly anyone who might be a first round pick has no reason to play in that instance.

I think you’re forgetting that College Football revenue drives most athletic programs.
In LSU’s case men’s baseball and basketball do turn a profit but the revenue from football funds all other sports.
LSU and every other major athletic program will do whatever they can to get a full season of football in. Not just because the fans want to, because they financially have to.

Oh boy, another overreaction!!! Yay virtue signal yeeeeeee!!!

The logistics of gymnastics beach volleyball tennis softball baseball and basketball with football would be a logistical nightmare for a school like LSU
Not to mention the sportswriters trying to cover it all
