We should have a better running game but we rarely run double TE or unbalanced formations. Our oline is weak and finesse bunch this fall on Davis in my opinion or run play designs OC/Oline.

The team must help Nuss and put him in a better situation

That’s great man. But the problem is he’s throwing the ball to the other team too much.

Yes he is. But he is also screwing up. Both can be true. The fact is he is a gunslinger. That type will always make mistakes at times. But also to much weight is on him with having zero running game. Sloan needs to improve also. Brad Davis needs have his arse called out also. There is no excuse for the running game to be so bad.

The offensive line is vastly overrated, the receivers (with exception to Aaron Anderson) CONTINUE to drop passes and choke when they’re needed the most, and this might be the worst rushing attack I’ve ever seen at LSU (mainly due to the OL inability to be physical).

Watching the interior of the offensive line regularly get pushed straight back into the pocket or regularly get pushed back into the backfield before a run play even has time to develop… that is one of the most frustrating things I’ve watched on a football field.
It’s pathetic. They’re either physically weak or mentally weak. But either way it falls on the head coach.

All that just to say, yes Nuss needs A LOT of help.
He also needs to learn how to read a defense and read the field. He often times throws into double coverage while other options are wide open.

This offense is just wack.

He’s better than what he’s shown the past few games but now he’s just pressing and you can tell he is struggling with the mental aspect
I believe this is correct. Due to the non- existent running game and a porous defense the pressure on him these last two games have been too much.

What he has been asked to do and what he has done are two totally different answers.

Ask to lead the team, put them in a place to be successful and minimize momentum killing turnovers.
What he has done...is lost his mojo, cant read a defense, late on throws and is a moentum killing turnover machine that is probably on the verge of losing the trust of his team.
Hate to say that but thats the current situation

Sounds like my golf game. I play better with a slow easy swing and 225 yrd drives down the middle.

Asking the QB to not turn the ball over doesn’t seem like that much

Durham needs a minimum of 15-20 carries a game

The fact he hasn’t shows there’s a problem with play calling

No, he isn’t. If Nuss just added scrambling for a first down 5-6 times a game it would open so much field for him. HE does too much.

Is it too much to "ask" by not turning the ball over?

He threw 42 times against Bama. Yes it’s technically not 50, but it doesn’t alter the main point.

What about asking an offensive to pass block or even better to run block….is that too much to ask? Why does all the blame fall on Nuss….do you watch the game? Do you not see our linemen being thrown around like rag dolls or completely whiffing on blocks?

It’s hard to pass or execute with dudes in your face….
