Nice knowing the game won’t be affected by Mother Nature!!

What? It most certainly can being in a dome in new orleans. You ever hear of hurricane katrina? Did the saints play out their season in the dome?

IMO the allure of “neutral site” games wore off long ago.

Not as long ago as the allure of NOLA

I still don't understand why we get more money to play in New Orleans.?

The portion of this deal that LSU will truly make money is when they go to Orlando.

LSU makes roughly 3 million a home game and if they do a home and home they don’t get nearly that on the trip to the other place. In this series it is two neutral site games sponsored where both schools will get 2 big paydays instead of one.

Do UGA fans also bitch about playing their first game in Atlanta?

or Clemson/Georgia Tech?

I would imagine the season ticket holders do.

Money?

Yes you guessed it. If you were FSU would you sign a contract where your opponent rakes in $10 mil gate and you get nothing but TV money split...

I selfishly like neutral site games bc they are always in locations easy to fly in and out of. Getting in and out of Baton Rouge for just a night is a PITA.

Because New Orleans is simply a bad arse place to have a neutral site game. There’s a reason why the Dome has hosted numerous Super Bowls, national championship games, and Final Fours. The atmosphere when it’s packed is among the best.

Chief Osceola and the war chant, and TGBFTL in the same building will be pretty incredible, especially if the game is competitive. We all love games in Tiger Stadium, but this will be great as well. How about enjoying it?

Orlando, on the other hand...

I might be in the minority but I love the super dome games

LSU games in the Dome have always been a blast and some of the best LSU memories (with 1 slight exception) have been made there with the Sugar Bowls and National Championships with incredible atmospheres. Everything is close by and everyone has a great time. Although I prefer LSU to play big-name opponents at Tiger Stadium, considering it would be in the oppressive September Louisiana heat, the Dome is a nice substitute.

It was an agreement for week 1 games at neutral sites. Superdome this year and Camping World Stadium in Orlando next year.

2022 is the Allstate Louisiana Kickoff game
2023 is the Camping World kickoff game

Special events, highlights the teams, brings in money. That is why they do it.

Waiting for UT to make the trip to Death Valley … they owe us a game.

Texas will be in the SEC soon and be on the schedule on a routine or rotating basis.

There won’t be a return game.

Because both programs can get cut multi million dollar checks for just showing up. I’m not a fan of it and wish it was a home and home.

Congrats on rather playing at a neutral site than at college stadiums?

Don’t say that. The neutral site bullies will attack.

One reason is the SEC owns the rights to the game in New Orleans and could sell the rights (ABC) on their own.

LSU v TX was so good because it was AT UT.
disagree, it was so good because we won while joe burrow drug his nuts across Texas’ face

I would enjoyed that one and enjoyed it thoroughly no matter where it was played

Although I’ll admit it being on their home turf added a little spice to it
