Remind me again why we start Coomes over Slaughter?

Let's not try and pretend that Coomes has been some defensive liability this year. He's actually done quite well. Just happened to make two bad errors in 2 innings

Oh, you're second-guessing the decision after the guy makes two errors that led to two runs?

Slaughter's approach at the plate had been shite, so we went for the offense over the defense. Can't anticipate this disaster, obviously.

I bet you can go look back to last night and find some of these same people in threads asking why Slaughter is playing because he can't hit.

Coomes is playing b/c he hits better than Slaughter. Pretty simple.

Coomes may not be the greatest hitter, but Slaughter has been looking lost at the plate.
