The best part is that they led Game Three 2-0 after the first. You know that they were going, "picking up where we left off last night."

Yes he does. It looks like a Ken Griffey Jr swing. The problem is that Jobert has a big hole in his swing that he needs to fix. I hope he comes back for another year. I think it would benefit him and the team.

The 24-4 has 30MPH gusts and our lower bull pen and the next day we out hit them with no winds and their best pitchers
Once Cags was off the mound, it was quite the drop off in talent that last game.

What are you seeing in his swing to say this? His mechanics look pretty good to my mostly untrained eye.

His swing isnt compact, it start way back behind his shoulder and up higher than the shoulder. Im sure coaches have probably tried to shorten it over time, my guess is it doesnt produce the desired result

LSU's game 2 loss was part of a tactical play to force a rubber match where'd they would have access to Thatcher, Paul, Riley and Gavin. Once they took game one, I think the call was made to go Johnny Wholestaff against Waldrep, and take the series on Monday against Florida's rag arms.

so congrats on winning game 2. But losing the series where we had huge pitching and rest disadvantages and you didnt have to face the best pitcher on earth.

I think Jorbert has a beautiful swing but pitch recognition is his problem. Obviously he can hit a fastball but man he definetly struggles with breaking balls. I don't disagree with your take on his swing though. He definitely has some bat speed because he had some of the hardest shots in the CWS. It does look pretty when he hits it though and I hope he comes back for one more year.

I don’t think the assessments are mutually exclusive. His swing is pretty and smooth, but it is long as hell.

To me, it appears as though it follows the same bat path every time he swings, regardless of the pitch. So, if the ball ain’t where his swing goes every time, he’s not hitting it.

Some Florida fans bring it up like it’s some kind of Trump card or something. Very strange. I guess they are in denial of who the national champions are.

Yeah, that’s like Germany saying “well, we got our asses kicked in WWII but we kicked Poland’s arse”.

Actually, I remember sitting there thinking "might as well score all of em tonight so these runs won't be there tomorrow!"

That onslaught put the perfect fire in LSU's belly.

I remember watching Arkansas put a ton on runs on NC State back in gm. 1 of their 2021 Super Regional. NC St. charged back to take series.

The night after Game 2 I posted on the Scoreboard the following:

"Do you remember in 1997 when Alabama beat us 28-2 or do you remember the game that fricking mattered?"
