Sans Troy

The focus on the 2017 team's weaknesses is always the Troy game. Why is that season's 37-7 humiliation at Mississippi State, a very average conference opponent, completely ignored? That was a much worse loss than Troy

Covid yr goes much differently if those 3 dont opt out.
I think about this often. If covid never happens, does coach O still have his total meltdown personally and professionally? Would he still be our coach, and would he possibly have won more national championships? He lost the locker room in 2020-2021 - got to think he'd have commanded much more respect had there not been so many distractions in and around the program.

The biggest indictment of the Miles/Cameron era was Slinger stepping in and calling plays out of the same playbook and putting up 600 yards

That's why Alleva had to fire Miles after Auburn then and there.

That team was going to bully Mizzou, Ole Miss, and Arkansas regardless who the coach was because those teams couldn't stop the run at all.

Alleva was rightfully worried that Miles would gain momentum to keep his job another year.

I think a significant difference was that Miles was an overbearing HC. It sounds like BC was barely doing the minimum. So, with Miles, there was a lot of room for changing things up, but that might not be the case this time around.

Where did Micro Johnson end up?

Max is on his 6th year of college football, now at UNC. He had a horrible fractured leg at the beginning of the season last year after becoming the starter.

Yes. Yes.

No. No.
I believe he still would've gone off the rails at some point.

Again, I guess COVID only affected LSU. Weird how that virus worked.

HaHa! After the injury he had, he's lucky to be walking.

I want to believe this is true…. But I can’t see a world where this O-line is even serviceable. How Davis didn’t get run off with Kelly and Sloan. Idk

If Max Johnson could have made even just one play late in that game LSU probably wins.

You mean if MJ hadn't overthrown Jack Bech who was in the end zone mere feet from him?

I just have to say about the covid year, it will never stop being absolutely fricking hilarious when bama fans interject, "Bama 2020!" into discussions about all time best teams. They just cannot handle the LSU had the best team ever put on a college football field.

So not only do they choose the bama team from the VERY NEXT YEAR to be the best ever, but they choose a season that shouldn't even count in the first place.

I remember when Troy came in to Tiger Stadium and ran for over 200 yards and upset LSU.

LSU could not score from inside the 5 against Florida to win the game.

Getting blown out 29-0 by Bama.

Letting MSU throw for 630 yards.

All losses in Tiger Stadium when the other teams were more physical than LSU.

Literally every team in the country dealt with COVID. Half of the teams that played LSU clearly dealt better with it en route to beating EdO’s Tigers.

COVID is absolutely no excuse for what EdO produced.
