Why does everybody leave off Jefferson? He played a pretty good bit toward the end of the season. Certainly not one of the few most talented guys(relatively), but at least deserves being listed.

If I were a stud WR, it would be tough for me to commit to LSU unless I knew I'd be used. LSU has been a pretty shitty place to play WR (unless you love to run block) for a long time. We have to field a more dynamic offense to get the studs to come here, and unfortunately it's gonna take another year or two to change that perception.

Big WRs don’t fit Canada’s offense: those happen to be our most talented guys. The smaller less talented guys had to play
Once again, you're wrong. Go figure.

Regardless of my age (OLD), I just gave quick count from current roster and there are about 18 or so WRs & TEs 6' or over. I think I can count the number fades in the red zone on one hand. And 'bout same utilization of short slants over the middle.

Believe lot on system & lack of talent at QB.

Looking ability, we are over the top.

I keep hearing about how much raw talent and potential our WR's have and hoping that we will see it pay off.
Still waiting...
and I'm still waiting to see a fade when we're in the red zone.

How can we have such tall and athletic WRs and not be able to use a fade to score TDs over shorter DBs?!?! I just don't get it.

And don't tell me it was Eling's fault. He was accurate enough to throw a fade to the corner of the end zone.

And while technically a TE, don’t forget Lil Moss.

It's not only fade routes, but over the middle routes were not run with any regularity at all. I hardly saw any down field passing all season, across the middle type stuff or quick hitting slant patterns. You saw the long throw to Chark, and even that was a mess the way Etling threw the ball sometimes. But Joseph will have to train these guys on running effective routes and as I said I don't know if he can be an effective WR coach because he has a spotty history. If they plan on running a spread offense that will allow Brennan to pass the ball like he did in HS then you'll see a lot of those type of routes or you should see is what I say.

They have pass catching TE's that they have hardly used since they have been there in Jacory Washington and the kid from St. Aug, and they were after Beal too. And that's another thing that disturbs me is that these kind of TE's, athletic, big and strong too like the WR have hardly been used since they have been at LSU. Not under Miles and now being wasted under Orgeron, Moss and Giles transferred to LSU to catch the ball, not be used as run blockers, so they better do something.

I do miss the days of watching Jarvis Landry go over the middle and looking for someone to hit after he catches it.

All of our receivers look the part. They often don't get many looks in a game but Dee Anderson, Drake Davis, Sullivan all made impressive plays at various points throughout the year.

Only if we have an OC who uses them on something other than jet sweeps and fly patterns, a HC who will permit the OC to throw the ball, and a QB who can throw the ball. Other than that, they're awesome

Is there any truth to the rumor started by a local radio guy that our WR coach really has no idea how to coach WRs

So someone talks about being old enough to kick my arse, and I say I have a 3006 to defend myself and that means I’m talking about murder?
