Pearson throwing the runner out at 2B

This might be my favorite highlight of the weekend!!!!
I told a buddy, that play is why I love baseball.

I would love an explanation at some point about what the umpire had to say to Trey Morgan after his HR in G2. Also, side not, watching the highlights back I’m pretty positive that “passed ball” in the 5th inning of G2 was actually a foul ball off JT’s bat. where Tommy scored from 3rd. Haha

Thompson with some stellar play. Dude has been legit. I’m guessing he didn’t see the pop up because he really did not make an effort on the play and the ball landed closer to him then to White.

Thompson has been and I am not trying to rail on him at all. Especially since it was White's blunder.

But defense is about details, and as a SS you have to chase that ball regardless. White overplayed it so much, Thompson would have had a rather routine play on that ball I think.

I’d like to see Little get a midweek start and see some innings and work thru things.

Christian Little has been great starting innings, but has really struggled entering with inherited runners. Something to look at there. I still think he is fine, and they may just need to be more selective on how they use him.
If he "Struggles entering with inherited runners" then he's not "Fine."

I'm sure that Pitching Guru WJ will be working with him to correct whatever problem is present.

Use of the term "Fine/We'll be Fine" by all the mediocrity accepting MA's with low standards of execution for all LSU Sports, makes me

This team learned it hates to lose on Friday
You could see it on Saturday, all day
They won’t lose a Friday game again this season

Jones will be a beast at LSU. He'll get more disciplined with reps.

- Ty Floyd was brilliant in usual Ty Floyd fashion. Rough, self-inflicted 1st & 3rd innings, but he pitched around them as he usually does.

Looked at the stats and highlights. TF threw 75 pitches through 3IP, finished at 108 at 6.1IP. He stayed focus and trusted his pitches and the defense behind him. His FB seemed to gain good swing and miss zip throughout his start.

Spot on IRT Edwards and Herring. Edwards continues to show outstanding stuff while Herring gained invaluable SEC mound time. We need guys like Herring and others to join the weekend BP mix to win games. Hope to see Coleman in the coming weeks and I have not given up on B. Collins. Need Coach Johnson to get Collins on track.

part of being a coach is putting your players in winning positions. If he isn't comfortable doing that (and i am just speculating) then they will find someone who is, and use Little in a way that maximizes his great talent.

Is Jobert doing enough at the plate to continue to start? I do not think. Furthermore, he is a liability in the field. If he is not hitting, then not sure what you have there.

I don't understand your hate of Jobert He was 3 for 11 2 runs 2 RBI 2BB 4 Ks not great but not awful. Jobert not near as bad on defense as you make out

Jones was 1/9 2 runs 3BB 7 Ks

Kling is 1 for last 16 1BB 8 Ks

Quick question. Does Skenes throw Thursday or Friday against Tenn? I'm trying to figure out if he'll throw Thursday or Friday in Columbia the following week because I plan on going to that series.

Herring could be the real deal.

Need to see more of him, but the stuff is there.

In terms of our bullpen right now, I can say I feel really good about Ackenhausen (if healthy), Edwards and Shores.

Past those three, I feel ok with Little and Cooper in that I wouldn't be surprised if they have a shutdown inning, but also wouldn't be surprised if they give up baserunners.

With Herring, I'm TBA until I see him in more high-leverage spots.

When you start giving credit in your narratives for people doing their jobs, he will show up.

Little isn’t the starter you predicted. Shores didn’t REALLY get the credit because of your backhanded “surprised” comment as usual. Are you a 68 y/o southern woman with the backhanded or slighting comments? I swear you sound like a woman from Steel Magnolias.

Dugas got the old “despite 3 Ks”. shite. How about leaving that off altogether because White was complete dog shite a lot more.
