Sears had 6 TO, Bailey had 4, and Givens had ZERO handling the ball.

Givens a true FR. When he plays Sears is on the bench. So he has ONE shooter. Mcmahon wants athletes with no skills. I am tired of hearing shite about Givens

Sears isn't that great of a player and his height is a huge liability. Agree with you on only having one shooter on the team. They also don't have but a couple guys that can consistently finish at the rim. That is a recipe for disaster if you aren't efficient at 3's and poor at finishing at the rim.

Anyone who thinks we have talent is sorely mistaken. No one on this roster outside of Cam Carter is SEC talent. Our guards are TERRIBLE. The fact Dji plays shows mid major eye for talent. Robert Miller can’t play either. Fountain .. goodness he’s regressed. Sears = turnover king. Mike Miller backup spot minutes at best. Givens .. .boy is he slow and not confident and can’t score to boot. V Miller? Maybe one day.

Damion Collins- 5*, 12th overall player in his class signed with Kentucky
Victorious Miller- 56th ranked overall player
Givens- 60th ranked overall
Robert Miller- 64th
Jalen Reed- 66th
Treydez Green- 54th
Plus you have Carter who’s a known productive P5 starter from a winning program.
Compare that to some of the top players for teams competing for the SEC title..
Broome (Auburn) unranked recruit, transfer from morehead state
Mark Sears (Bama) unranked, transfer from Ohio
Walter Clayton (Fla) unranked, transfer from Iona
Even Kentucky’s best players are lower ranked recruits (72 and 84) and a transfer from a mid major

Basketball recruit rankings aren’t the best gauge for producing wins. Players have to be developed.

Givins is a true PG with no shooting range (quite bad)

You either translate to the next level or you don't. Broome unranked you say? So what? Don't tell me Pearl developed him. That's BS. Sure he's coached. But he college level player with some dog in him..
Just Because a lame arse recruiting service tabbed some kid the 60rh best player in the county because he 6'10" with a long wingspan doesn't mean they will be a good college BB player

Dude was the 33 ranked player in the country in 2024 by On3 whatever you think of their evaluations/ratings and was offered a scholarship by Texas, Memphis, Indiana and Georgia Tech.
I think the staff expected more from him, therefore they are playing him more than maybe on most nights his production has earned him.
These days you never know how much time you will have with these kids so you got to get that balance right on how much to play them that early, the staffs that do the best with that will get more out of their team than those who struggle with that.
