Even as someone who believes there were paid posters here and there as PR, that was kinda far out there for me too, Ben. I just let it go.

I know you aren't. There were a number of new accounts that were made after O's hiring with no profile and no favorite team selected. These accounts were 100% pro Orgeron with over the top praise and zero criticism. Could it have been a coincidence? I suppose, but either admins caught on and stopped it or they stopped now that Orgeron had a good season.
I agree with you about people thinking you, Ree and others that were here previous to his hiring being paid is silly at best. I also wouldn't be surprised if there really were people here that are paid to mix things up. Crazy shite happens these days.

These debates of Ed vs. Les are stupid and accomplish nothing.
I do agree that the perpetual PR campaign pumping nonstop sunshine is a bit excessive, but I hope Orgeron is LSU's coach for at least the next decade. If that's the case, it will because he's had the success to merit it.
I suspect a lot of the so-called "negatigers" on this board dislike the posters who are paid by the football program / athletic department --- not Orgeron.
Obviously there are a few, but I suspect even they dislike the nonstop PR and probably wouldn't say much of what they say if they weren't bombarded by propaganda all day every day.
IMO, the PR/propaganda is reaching a point where it's counterproductive.
I'd bet if it stopped, the anti-O segment of the fanbase would largely disappear.
