Some of our best/most successful receivers had drop problems their freshman year. Dwayne Bowe, Early Doucet, Odell Beckham, Brandon Lafell.

They'll all be fine. At one time, this photo was popular on the rant.

Lafell is now with the Patriots in his fifth NFL season.

For real though, this season was always the setup for next season.

Not calling you out, but I don't understand this mentality. A program that recruits like LSU should be competitive every year. There shouldn't be too many setup or down years unless someone unexpectedly leaves the program.

We lose key players on a pretty damned good o-line next year. I guess if the offense flops we'll be calling next year a setup for the year after.

Quinn will never drop three in a game the rest of career at LSU. I love the people who are already calling to have him replaced by another incoming freshman after 7 games.

this.

he will be an all time great at LSU. No one works harder, and he has the physical tools to be great

I look at it like that because it's difficult to bounce back from the amount of attrition due to the draft the last two years. Maybe I am a negatiger slightly, but I never really saw us going all the way this year because of the losses and youth. I figured next year was our best shot.

How the frick so

Exactly, and he was spectacular. It really is like no one watches the games.

I don't ever recall Jarvis having a case of the drops. Certainly not like OBJ did.

I have zero doubt that they can get this fixed.

the best recievers ever dropped passes. There will always be drops. to say LSU lost b/c of drops is ridiculous. Cooper dropped 3 passes. Hell we won a game b/c a TE dropped a TD. It happens.

I'm with ya. One or two, sure. But I don't recall Landry having "the dropsies" at all. Beckham, yes, but not Landry.

I know this board trashed the hell out of Trey Quinn since Saturday, but there's no doubt in my mind that that kid is and will be a great player.

Those drops. We're way out of character for him

yea he had a bad game, no doubt. But he's been solid this season, doing what he is asked to do in a HS equivalent passing game.

Wasn't it Bowe that couldn't catch anything then had the eye surgery and was a completely different receiver?

He most certainly did as a Soph. I remember being so disappointed because i knew how good his hands really were.

Of course the next year he made everyone forget about it.
