I agree he needs to work hard, I put some of the blame on the coaches for putting a true freshman in that position in one of the biggest games of the year.

Still need to catch the ball. Malachi is a true freshman and scored the only TD on a tough catch

Don't mean to sound negative, but it should've been fixed before losing the biggest game of the year.

quinn and dupre are freshmen. most players don't come in and become larry fitzgerald in 8 games

Drops are contagious especially when as a receiver for LSU you hardly ever see the ball. It's like trotting out in the 3rd quarter of a basketball game in the biggest game of the year and jacking up a three when you haven't touched the ball all game...odds are you won't make the shot.

I didn't see that many. I saw 4, maybe 5. Bama had as many or more dropped passes than LSU.

Cooper is a STUD and dropped more than all receivers combined in that game alone. The guy will be a 1st round pick. When he is targeted 15 times a game, mixes in a big play, and they win, noboby notices. Chi and Trey make a bad play and it gets magnified when they get 2-3 targets a game and we lose.

It is all about clutch and timing. The Bama receivers certainly caught it when they needed to in the final drive. Our guys killed critical drives with drops as well as inaccurate passes. Perhaps they will grow but they came up lacking on the biggest stage.

Quinn will never drop three in a game the rest of career at LSU. I love the people who are already calling to have him replaced by another incoming freshman after 7 games.

I'm not, but I do feel that Diarse is better, and was better the first few games. He has completely disappeared in the statistical column BTW. This guy was our early season 3rd down playmaker.

I agree they will get better. Dupre's main problem, is that he needs to get stronger. Guy that was blocking him, played him so close to the boundary, that Jennings should have back shoulder threw every pass.

Quinn is the guy, like Landry, who came in with the "hands of glue" skill, yet has looked more like butterfingers. He'll be great in time.

They have pretty much shut Dural down after an explosive first four games. He still however, looks the best even though he has had some problems.

from a 2012 thread. He improved over the back half of that season though.

Both he and Beckham improved over the bye. I remember them talking about catching a crazy amount of passes every day

I'd like to do a % ratio on the WR's Dural, Dupre, Quinn with receptions & drops bet it's closer than you think!

Quinn has the second most targets, and the most drops. His percentage is definitely higher than anybody else, plus the amount of drops.

I remember doing this for the ULM game I think. Both Dural and Quinn had 6 targets. Quinn caught two, dropped two, and two were bad passes. Dural caught 5, and the other was a bad pass.

Datbayoubengal, your numbers are not accurate (not as many targets, not as many drops), but we get your point, we understand your agenda, we understand from your Avi and posts who is your "guy", and all of that. Thnak you for your input.

diarse needs to get targeted more, he's more of a playmaker in the slot than quinn

Wisconsin
2 catches
3rd and 7, 1st down
3rd and 21, touchdown

SHSU
2 catches
3rd and 7, 1st down

ULM
2 catches
3rd and 22, 1st down

His first 3 games he had 6 catches and 4 of them were clutch third down catches.

He has had 3 receptions since then (1 NMST, 2 Auburn).

Don't kid yourself. Look me up on the recruiting board, and see how I talked about more. Go check on a thread I made that went 5 pages on Quinn.

Quinn gets the second most targets, and the most drops. If you go over the play by play on LSUsports.net, you will see it.
