All you haters are convinced the call would have been favorable. I kind of doubt it.

The call would have been favorable and even the announcers were a bit incredulous no challenge was made.

But I guess that makes the announcers O haters...

I see you are happy about the loss. Congratulations, it couldn't have happened for a better fan.

Why do you always play the victim card?

We are not happy about the loss

Orgeron can all day long, but it does not change the fact that he cannot coach.

LSUStar, please note: TIGER REE and 4 others are paid by the LSU athletics department to post on message boards to promote O and build up the program.

He is only doing his job. Although I agree takes it to the extreme in defending O at times.

Before reading any of the responses to the original post, one big thing I took from it is that Ensminger told Orgeron that Burrow got rattled, then Orgeron has tell it to the whole world. No reason at all for that. You keep that stuff between you and Ensninger. Your quarterback and other players don't need need that mess out out.

Orgeron too often doesn't have a clue about what to say and when & where to say it. That big mouth in the front of his bubble bead just opens up and the words tumble out without being connected to his brain.

You can include his explanation of the bad spot and his failure to challenge it. All he has to say is he fricked up. But he goes the extra mile of revealing the chaos and ineptitude of him and the staff that's been placed in his charge.

Was it the dumbest thing in the history of football? Of course not. Nowhere close. I wouldn’t even call it dumb, but rather a bad non-decision.

But we should have called our timeout there. I’m sure O would agree if you talked to him in private ... it was a mistake on our part given the circumstances.

Agreed. I don't understand the need by Ree and others to immediately go on the defensive and conflate what everyone is trying to say. He cocked up a decision and his explanation doesn't pass the smell test. It's okay to admit he didn't handle that one well.

There was just a thread yesterday where the 4th and 1 decision in the 2007 Egg Bowl was discussed. Clearly it's true that he totally relies on his staff in these situations now because he doesn't trust his own judgement.

Without a doubt.

He's mentioned that several times. There was an entire article about it last season.

Ed's missed 4th down call

But this wasn't even that much risk involved. Just make the challenge, then kick the FG if it's not overturned.

If Orgeron isn’t an “x & o’s“ guy then WTF is he good for? He can’t even step up and call for a challenge himself? He relies on everyone else to make a call for him?

We literally hired O not to coach, he's just fulfilling his duties.

And if we are in another 0 bowl after going 7-5 or 8-4, then what? Just be patient? What is miserable is Edward Orgeron’s coaching. He had better get the offense in gear or we’ll all be wishing that CLM were still here.

That's where I'm at on this. Even if you're not absolutely positive that he got it, there really isn't much of a downside to challenging right there.

This was my main take away from the press conference. There's no reason whatsoever to tell opponents that your QB was rattled. On top of that, don't send the message to your own team that he was rattled. One of Burrow's greatest assets this season so far has supposedly been his coolness on the field. Don't go and spoil that.

I believe that there has been a lot of overreaction as usual on Monday. It was a bad loss. A really bad loss, but the season isn't over. We always knew we would probably have to beat Bama or UGA to get to a NY6 bowl and we still can. But, I found it disappointing to compound a bad loss with saying a the press conference that your QB was rattled.

It's amazing how he just says dumb stuff that reveals his incompetence on a routine basis and yet people still act surprised. The guy just isn't a good coach. That's not even debatable. He's average at best....at best. That's where we are. What's the standard we are playing to here? That's the question. If you say championship then you cannot possibly watch Eaux on a weekly basis and think he's the right guy

I still want to wait until the end of the season to see how it plays out. It's natural to want to overreact after a tough loss, but let's see how it goes the next couple of months to see what happens. That's my take at least.

No explanation for why CEH came in after brossette got 75 yards on a 75 yard drive?

Unless he was banged up would be the only reason I could think of. I was screaming at the TV about that. I don't recall him saying anything about it. But, I was a little distracted while it was on.
