FOR THE SECOND TIME: He said the coaches on the field were debating whether to go for the 1st down or take the FG.
He said he didn't want to come up empty on two consecutive drives and decided to take the FG.
You haters are mostly idiots and funny to watch while doing your thing.

Unfortunately there most likely will be a few more losses this season with the way the offense is playing. I’ve been wrong before but I just can’t see this offense all of a sudden coming together and sustaining multiple drives a game against good defenses.

can you call a damn time out and make sure you have all of the information you need to make an informed decision?
fellas, he gave an honest answer. there is no guarantee we get the call. sure, you say it's a screwup, but what if we get the ball back and have a chance to score but we don't have that damn timeout.
hindsight is 20-20. I could see on tv what a bad spot it was but he couldn't. yeah, he admitted somebody, for whom he is responsible, didn't get it. not a cop out.\
and btw, I thought he should've taken the chance on wasting the timeout.

None of this addresses why he didn't use his TO to try and get a review AND to take more time to come to a decision.
Care to answer?

You had been looking forward to Saturday night for a long time, haven't you? I know you're having a great day today.

I listened to it. Our guys in the booth didn't get the replay fast enough to alert Coach O that we needed to challenge the spot.
He knew we could make the kick and wasn't sure we could get the yardage needed for the 1st down. And he wanted points.
He elected to kick the FG.
Once we kicked it, the booth had gotten the replay, but it was too late.
Coach said he saw the TV tape later and wished he had gotten the info sooner.
This wasn't a bad decision necessarily. Take the points. Points are always at a premium in these games.

You people either can't read or refuse to read. It is explained in the OP. AND that is paraphrased.
I guess the idiots have found their ONE THING to sink their teeth into.

For the last fricking time, LSU had a timeout that went unused. "He didn't have enough time" isn't a reasonable explanation in this situation.

If we challenge and get the first down that decision is moot. Do you get that?
There is practically no downside to challenging right there.

Can't explain it to the football illiterate any better than the post a couple/few above yours.

If Orgeron isn’t an “x & o’s“ guy then WTF is he good for? He can’t even step up and call for a challenge himself? He relies on everyone else to make a call for him?
What does he do on the sidelines besides clap?

O wasted a TO to fake going for it on 4th and 2 in their own half. Surely you would think he might be able to spare one on 4th and 1 on a bad spot and in an attacking position. He's hopeless, doesn't even coach and unless he's told something he just stands there all game and claps like a fricking moron.
