Old clock rules were recently mandated by the high chancellor to be ineligible due to prior use in nfl preseason training camps.

Games themselves are not that much shorter but they sure as shite have the commercials teed up

Remember when they said it was to make game times shorter but in reality it was to keep the game times the same but just have way more commercials?

The games used to go on too long especially on CBS. The game would last 3.5 to 4 hours.
College should adopt NFL rules with timing and the clock. The goal of college players is to get to the NFL anyways.

Three things to revert back to:
1 25 Sec play clock
2. Game clock stops until play starts after player runs out of bounds
3. Stop game clock on all 1st downs until ball marked for play

Yep that's when I quit going to the games. 2 min TV timeout was bad but the 3 min TV TO is unbearable.
25-30% of game time is now commercials with about 12 minutes of actual live action.

Well for frick sake they couldn't possibly decrease the fricking commercials so the obvious solution is to run the game time off faster.

Remove the stupid 2-minute timeout too. I hate it in the NFL too.
